If I flick right I still have to pause or it will move to the previous app and not the app switcher. If I flick left, I can move as fast as I want and it brings up the app switcher.

Here's a graphic I created showing App Switcher access in a much much faster and more intuitive and 100% consistent way. Shhh, even Craig doesn't know about it ;)

And remember:

1. No pausing
2. No L-shaped gesture
3. No r-shaped gesture
4. No whatever-shaped gesture
5. No gesture at weird angles

Simply up! Boom and you're done!

Guys, you do realize that you don't have to pause, nor make confusing gestures in the shape of some letter or whatever, right? It's much much simpler than you or Craig thinks.

Simply follow this graphic I made specifically for the unaware ones:

Still not as fast!

This is so much better. Thank you, I was trying hard to get used to holding... it was annoying haha!

I couldn’t bothered reading the two pages so sorry if someone’s already said this.

But you can just swipe diagonally across the bottom edge. Swipe bottom, middle edge, up and to the right in a straight line. It’ll do the same thing without the L shaped flick.

Thanks for the graphic. That totally made the concept click for me! It’s a flick vs a solid slide no need to pause. I’m so excited, ha! I had been getting frustrated with this change and the inconsistency of how long it took to implement the app switcher. If your finger moved at all while paused it was delayed.
