Georgia has not re-instated the Tax-Free holiday since 2009. The state is currently under a severe budget short-fall and it is not expected that our legislature will re-instate the holiday any time soon. Three separate bills failed earlier this year. So for those of us in Georgia, we are S.O.L.

Why not just drive up to South Carolina?

With nearly $4/gal for gas, and a 4-hour round trip drive, the whole whopping $20 I'd save in tax after all is said and done isn't worth it to me. Besides, I don't have a problem with sales taxes, I do, however, have a problem with income taxes.

Or just buy it online and don't pay tax at all.
