Anyone who has spent time on this forum will sooner or later come to understand that freaking out over absolutely nothing is a hallmark of this forum (and I love the forum)

Every iPhone release on this forum has tens of thousands of threads stating the same thing thousands of times and/or people losing it for no reason at all. Half of the posters are saying, "I got my phone!" in a new thread to which nobody else responds b/c nobody really cares and the threads dedicated to that subject are ignored for no apparent reason other than the poster wanting some sort of direct "props" for receiving the phone. Then we have people calling every single number ever assigned to FedEX and UPS to ask where their phone is...even though it is 7am eastern.

The stalking by people is rather funny to me as at times, I join in...but some of the other stalkers can be quite scary. Anyone remember the poster last year who said he saw a UPS truck in his neighborhood and followed it for blocks until it stopped at a red light and he swerved in front of it to stop it so he could get his phone?

This is very true. Last year with my iPhone, which arrived a day early.

When it was placed in my hands by Fedex, it still said it was in Alaska I believe. I'm in Miami.

yeah i had that experience with my most recent nano purchase, I think it was. Last year in September anyway. So I'm staring at the fedex tracking screen and it's saying the machine has cleared customs in Anchorage and meanwhile the dude is rapping on my back door and I'm wondering who would have the nerve to bother me so early on a weekday morning... he was a whole day early per expected delivery info.

Because I haven't missed a launch day since the original iPhone and iPad and they've all been the same. The 4S shouldn't be any different.
It will be the same.

Don't worry about order status changes...

Don't worry about MacBobby getting different/better/sooner updates than you...

Don't worry about Premiere or Sprint vs. Verizon vs. Apple vs. AT&T...

Your 4S will arrive on the 14th, with a handful of exceptions where a driver disregards Apple's requests and pushes one out a day early.

Similar for my iPad 2. Tracking actually showed it sitting in Hong Kong for 3 days, they updated the info to say it was going to take 3 more days to arrive....showed up the next morning!

Now Iv'e got that Frankie goes to Hollywood song stuck in my head :) I guess it will come when Apple wants it to come lol.

Yes, just relax.

All you need to do is make sure that you're home when UPS/FedEx delivers the package (and are able to sign for it, no bathroom breaks) or your iPhone 4S will go to the next person on the waiting list. No worries!

This thread reminds of one from last year. The Title was something like "You guys are stupid if you think you will get your iPhone 4 before Friday!!!1" and It included lots of profanity. Well somepeople got there phones on Wednesday and thursday. That guy got flamed so hard, it turned into a 20+ page thread. It was great, Should be a best of MacRumors or something.

Yea Relax you will all have it before me
I pre ordered but once it shows up on the 14th-15th. It than has to be shipped over the great ocean to the desert where I'm currently "playing" in the sand. So trust me a few more days is no biggie. Relax

Having ordered one for my wife via AT&T upon the opening of their site for pre-orders, I'm very pleased.

I had the order completed in just ten minutes, received the order confirmation email minutes later, and I was off to a great start. The next day I got an email with an estimated ship date.

The following day I got the estimated delivery date. It's this kind of stellar customer service that keeps me a very happy AT&T user.

Yesterday I checked via FedEx tracking for the first time, and was on schedule for delivery on the 14th. Just checked again moments ago and it's been moved up to delivery on the 13th, which is just like last year. Early.

It's all been easy, I haven't had to do any inquiries, they've done all the work, just as it should be. AT&T is a great company to do business with.

If you got your order in on time for a 14th delivery date, there is a 99.998% chance you will receive it on Friday.

I accept that, but I can't relax about the 0.002% chance that I won't get it on Friday. That's just too big of a risk for me. :D

I ordered from AT&T around 2am Friday and it just says "in progress - pending shipment." I never got a confirmation email and don't have a UPS tracking number from them or anything and the two AT&T phone reps said they'd mail on Friday and we'd get them on Monday even though their site says otherwise...should i suspect trouble?
