COFFEE!

Iced tea, cranberry juice, club soda, an occasional frozen Margarita, maybe one good beer at a party.
Once in a while I'll have a few shots of tequila, but rarely.

Also invented a drink last time I was at a bar looooong ago.

It's called a Friar Tuck aka Drunk Monk

1 part Bacardi 151
2 parts Frangelica
straight up or over ice.

First off, I was disappointed with this ep of Studio 60,

As for drinks, strawberries are in season right now in my area. I have been making some great daquris (*sp), I have been on a rum kick lately, when coke gets old I grab some fresh fruit and make some frozen drinks.

Anything to fend off this Alabama heat.

I'd say good old Guinness. Although if you don't like Guinness, have a Guinness and blackcurrant cordial, you'll never look back, honest 😉

Cosmopolitans. Pomegranate martinis are a new fad for me... but really, put any one of those fruity fake-martinis in front of me and I'll like it. I recently had a lychee sake-tini (lychee syrup/juice, sake, vodka, grenadine) at a sushi restaurant that was absolutely divine.

I used to drink mojitos back when they were trendy.
Pina coladas are a classic yummy.

Wine -- I prefer whites (Riesling, Pinot Gris, sweet Muscato); DH prefers red (Shiraz, Shiraz/Cabernet blends, Merlot).

And must have on a daily basis... coffee!

Finally tried a Woo Woo (+ dash lime) tonight and, after a few sips, decided it was pretty nice. To my surprise the recipe was on the back of the Archers bottle as well, so they're obviously cashing in on the latest cocktail craze 😉

wow, lots of picky people here. my 'favorites' list...

lots.

cold.

free.

repeat as needed. 🙂

For the upcoming summer beach season (for us Californians, at least), I present to you a drink first conceived in the Virgin Islands (at least first consumed by me there).

The BBC (Bailey's Banana Colada):

6 parts Irish Cream Liqueur
4 parts Dark Rum
4 parts Coconut Cream
1/2 banana

Combine in a blender, add ice, enjoy.

Stout: Guinness
Draft lager: PBR (really!)
Mexican import: Negra Modelo
Tequila: Patron Anejo
Mixed drink favorite (old standby) Kamikazi
Rum: Pyrat XO Reserve (absolutely my favorite... some of the tastiest fluid to ever slide down your throat)

Thanks mate. I haven't seen it 'round here before so I'll have to keep my eyes peeled. I wonder how it goes with Coke though... Looks more like it'd go with fruit juice. 😎

goes very well with coke. has a faint cinnamon taste to it too. good stuff.

Beer, bourbon, or scotch and a good cigar. Brought a bottle of Ardbeg back from a recent UK trip. Top notch stuff. I'll mourn it's demise.

A full weekend of research on my part, and I've got nothing to show for it. Gotta admit that I may have swayed toward the gin and cranberry juices though... Hey! They were cheap!

My wife drank tons of those in Grand Cayman.

coffee is the winner hands down. but interestingly enough, i AM currently nurturing a new vice.

yesterday while in the grocery store i spotted some new kahlua flavors.

(i spotted *YUM!* hazelnut and french vanilla!)

i'll be keeping an eye on THIS thread. 😉

Liquid Cocaine

1/2oz of 151 rum
1/2oz of Goldschlager
1/2oz of Jagermeister

The name explains it all (it taste ok too)

vanilla stoli and coke, white wine when the mood for it. right now i'm kick with this drink i call the "ikea" it's vodka and that longonberry drink from ikea. so good give it a try.

I always get this drink which I came up with independently, but which apparently was already named 'The Rose Kennedy'. It's vodka (preferably grey goose) with soda/mineral water, splash of cranberry, and lime. Very drinkable and low sugar without being 'diet'.
