Your favorite drinks

Well, my personal favourite drink is the Margarita. Virgin, of course, because I'm underaged.

Also, a friend of mine really likes Rum and Mountain Dew, and I hear it tastes almost exactly like Cream Soda.

Vodka and Coke isn't too bad, either, from what I've heard.

And if I've ever drank, I'd say that those flavoured Smirnoff Vodkas, particularly Green Apple and Raspberry would be very good in my opinion. Probably that Green Apple pucker, too.

But, I'm underaged, so I of course do not know about any of those. :)

Water is my favorite. Seriously.

But when I was in Japan, I went to a place called Yamachan in Nagoya and they had an awesomely named alcoholic drink on their menu. Translated to English, it is "Devil's Summer Vacation".

I'd have to say that's my favorite drink... name.
 
Probably should add Coke to my list too. There's an advert here that says "the most uplifting drink ever", and it's probably the first time marketing has worked on me :D everytime I see that ad it makes me want a Coke and smile throughout.

Water was my fave at college too. I used to do a lot of walking back then and for whatever reason, water always woke me up. Better than Coke or Red Bull since there was no crash after. Can only drink Volvic though, perfect water taste for me.
 
Holy frackin' hell, talk about resurrecting an old thread.

I recently discovered Dogfish Head beer, and it's amazing. Their 90 IPA is awesome, and their 120 IPA is simply stunning. As for other drinks, I still stick to Captain and Coke as my staple, but when I'm out with the producers or the boss, it's usually a grey goose gimlet on the rocks.

I'm going to Dubai and Singapore this weekend for 10 days (business class on Singapore Air...<drooool>) for work so I'll sure as hell be using the company card to hit The Long Bar and try some new stuff. Anyone ever been? Any suggestions for local drinks, pubs, bars, etc? I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of down time.

For a mixed drink, a Brain Hemorrhage, great at Hallowe'en:

1/2 - 3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps
Float 1-2 Tbl. of Baileys on top
Drop 1 tsp of grenadine through the Baileys.

Beer:
Guinness Extra Stout (American Guinness brewed in Canada, 19 other breweries worldwide)

North Coast Brewing Co.'s Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout

Mackeson's Stout

Any beer that you can see through is not dark enough!

Liquor:
Amaretto

Absinte (American-legal absinthe)

Tito's vodka (Texas made)

Wine:
Yellow Tail Cabernet Sauvignon (Aussie red)

Fetzer Gewurztraminer (white)

Any sweet Spanish sangria

A proper Sidecar:

2 oz. Cognac (Remy Martin VSOP)
2 oz. Cointreau
Juice from one lemon

Shake ingredients together over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Delicious!

Alternatively, if I am feeling lazy, Southern Comfort (100 proof variety) on the rocks.
 
I play this game with the bartender at the club I regularly go to, he hands me the Bartender's Bible, I choose one at random and he mixes it for me. I decided to make a little archive entitled "Drink of the Evening" on my Flickr. There is one drink which I really liked that isn't in the archive called a Grass Skirt. Quite possibly the girliest drink eeeeeevar and sooo yummy. Mmm.
 
Oh, I thought of two more things.

(1) Southern Comfort Manhattan

(2) By no means my favorite, but very tasty:

Ketel One Citroen vodka
+ Disaronno Amaretto
+ Lemonade
+ Ice

I drink way too much Coke. I started drinking SoBe juice, but it is really hard to find in Cincinnati and not everyone carries it. I searched online to find out where it could be bought by the case but apparently you can only buy SoBe Life Water by the case.
 
Kamikazie for a liquor drink- either as a shot or a drink, though preferred as a shot- double, shaken or stirred i dont really care.

And I'll mix Vodka with just about anything liquid.


Oh, did I mention vodka?

1. Iced soy cinnamon dulce
2. Iced soy upside down caramel macchiato
3. Vanilla bean frappuccino with caramel drizzle inside the cup.

I also like sweetend black tea and green tea.
passion tea with melon syrup and apple juice (insted of lemonade)
marble mocha
rasperry mocha or with white mocha
toffeenut latte

i like all my drinks iced and with soy milk =)

My wife wont let me drink Soy products- something to do with its effects on sperm count and lowering it :eek:
 
Okay, my ALL TIME favorite is Tea, hands down, I love the tastes and even the smell. Flavored/Sweetened/Unsweetened/Sunned/Iced/Hot/Green/Black/Orange I love them all.

I've recently started to like Mojitos as well. Its a nice summer drink
