That one's great. And really sad (and disturbing) at various points.

Didn't cry. 'twas only a hair in my eye, I swear.

There's more than one? I haven't seen any of them yet. Nor have I seen 12 (though I've heard they're good).

I could watch 24 Hour Party People over and over. I've seen it 3 times already but its just such an amazing film.

Same for Quadrophenia Love that film. tis a classic

Yep, Oceans Eleven is a remake. The new Oceans Eleven was very good, I didn't care for Oceans Twelve as much. The original Oceans Eleven is a great movie too though. It was made in 1960 and started the Rat Pack - Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop, as well as Angie Dickinson - excellent cast, great movie! I highly recommend it.

- Future Cops (Chinese)
- Pirates of the Carribean
- Pearl Harbor (Not quite sure of why... haha)
- Ghost

Google or use imbd for details =)

oh dear

I can see this turning into one of those threads that stretches the intention well beyond the already broad definitions suggested in the initial post .... there have been far too many dismal films mentioned already.

Fortunately a few of the films I consider favorite have been proposed, so I wont be so lame as to repeat them.

But I will add Brazil.

OK, I'll throw mine in:

•The Fifth Element
•Jurassic Park (just the first one)
•The Lord of the Rings (all three)
•Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
•Star Wars (probably Return of the Jedi for the Battle over Endor (not on Endor), but IV, V and even III are good)
•Monty Python and the Holy Grail
•Metropolis (the original)

There are probably more, but that's what I've got right now.

Don't be, the film is timeless;)

  • Suspicion breeds confidence
  • Be safe-- be suspicious
  • Don't suspect a friend-- report him

True enough - many of my favorite movies are as old or older anyway... ;)

Hmmmmmm

Pulp Fiction
The Blues Brothers (Orig)
The Italian Job (Orig)
The Matrix (First one)
Die Hard (First one)
Back to the Future (Trilogy)
Jurassic Park (First one)
Rambo:First Blood :p
Human Traffic ;)

There are others, but I've gone blank
