If I have to confess, it took me hours... to choose a suitable bag for my 13" Air.

It's insane, but no matter how hard I looked, there was no bag out there that could match the elegance and simplicity of the Air. I had to settle with something that was barely there, but not quite. And it's coming next week to boot. So "hours" sounds like an understatement at this point.

What bag did you end up getting? I too spent days and days researching for the right bag and sleeve. I even returned a neoprene sleeve because I didn't like the lip that I had to pull open to get the Air in/out. I also had my mind set on a messenger style bag, but after research, went with a backpack.

I ended up with this combination, and am very happy:

Lol, I know that, and do that. lol. I just don't like how she handles the thing. She actually clicks the trackpad instead of using the tapping feature. Huhhh.

It also bugs me that when my wife leaves the car, she always slams the door shut.

Well, I ended my search with a slim vintage medic bag from Rothco. From the looks of it, it'll be the exact fit for the dimensions of my 13" Air.

I also purchased an extra compass pouch to keep the power brick and cables in check since the bag only has one compartment.

Everything will arrive next week, so I'll know how they work out then. It's a simple solution since I wanted to focus more on style, simplicity, and just barely enough space for everything. I travel a lot, and have condensed most of my traveling gears down to pretty much a laptop device, a document binder, a sketchbook, a pen case, a camera, and some electronic accessories. I don't really mind the camera much since it can be hung right around my neck, so it's mostly just the Macbook that I'm concerned with here.

Thank goodness my future husband will never be able to pull that on me. ;)

Maybe you're the one who pull that on your husband. Out of nowhere there will be 3 MacBooks on the coach without he realizing it .. yet :p

Well .. I wish I had a bit more geeky GF :(

Nothing too bad...

I like just looking at it. Probably because I'm a student and it basically costed me all of my money :p So it has a higher value to me than it would to most people. But man, I just like looking at the thinness, comparing it to other computers (boot times, anyone?), and lightly cleaning it down each day.
