I'm not a fan is Islay malts - I've got the Laphroiag and Bowmore, and have really got to be in just the right mood to have any. They're waaay too peaty for me as general rule... I'd like to try the Lagavulin at some point, but it's ways down my list of 'to buys'

Lagavulin is a great buy at around 50 a bottle. Tastes much more expensive than that.

Regular, plain old Coca Cola. (Too young to legally drink;)) Pear cider does quite well too.

Edit: Sambuca is good.

Sambuca is the ****, man. i LOVE that stuff. LOVE IT. LOVE IT. Chilled with a coffee bean on top... oh man, that's good ****!!!!!!!

My favorite: screwdrivers.

It's like a good middle reliever or fullback. Gets the job done anytime, anywhere. Very dependable. It's classic, you can't go wrong with ordering it. Especially, if like me, you have an affinity for oranges.

depends on the situation. i like twisted teas and woodchuck for the "chill out at home" kind of drink, a glass of pinot grigio with dinner or at an upscale bar. when i'm out at casual "themed" type restaurant, i go with a house special drink i guess, like a flavored margarita or something fruity and frozen.

Some Chardonnay, Merlot or White Zinfandel. I can't stomach hard liquour anymore. Henessy & Jack Daniels no more.

I've never met an alcoholic drink that I didn't like, but I mainly drink fine British ales, a navy Rum, or a nice single malt.

This is a fun thread.

Beer: all shapes, sizes and flavors. I like the imports but usually just drink lite beers at home.

Booze: Jack and diet. so delicious. also my local "Howl at the Moon" has $21 LIT buckets. They're great for getting smashed with buddies on the cheap. Howl is a dueling piano bar chain. tons of fun if you ever get a chance to go to one.

\louisville party scene is suprisingly awesome. 3 bar districts, one with 32 bars on one street. 4 AM closing time. YAY

It is indeed.

Beers: Christian Moerlein of any variety (a Cincinnati beer), and Sam Adams, or a good English Ale.

Liqour: bourbon of any variety, but usually Bulleit.

Alcoholic - Hendrick's and tonic w/ cucumber, Booker's, Negra Modelo

Non-Alcoholic - Organic 1% milk, Fanta or Kas Limon

As for beer, the best beer I've ever had ever, is MacEwans Scotch Ale. The single finest I've ever had. And it's also harder than living hell to find out here. :(

For an alcoholic drink, I'm very fond of Guinness and Kopparberg Pear Cider. I also discovered 'Ron Miel' when I went on holiday to the Canary Islands, it's absolutely delicious (30% alcohol, drunk straight over ice and it just tastes like honey ;))

Non-alcoholic, I quite like fruit smoothies and water.

Mountain Dew... I wish I could somehow transform my body to run entirely off it; that would be amazing. Sweet tea also wouldn't be half bad...

Can't go wrong with the Classic Margarita -- one sip and it's summertime! Lately though I've also been enjoying the odd glass of Prosecco with a splash of Pama pomegranate liqueur -- mmmm!!! :)

(Think I'd better fix myself one right now...)
