Sadly I'm not an MR-God (yet) so mind reading doesn't come standard on my userCP :(

Time and dot upgrades, my friend, time and dot upgrades. :D

7) Boolean operators in Spotlight - this finally makes the spotlight search a much more powerful tool over what you can do with the Finder's Find File. This is a major upgrade to OS X's capabilities.

Mot, are you aware of this? You can use | for OR and (-xxx) for NOT. I never use it, but it's not such a cumbersome syntax, and once you get used to it, it'll probably be second nature. I mean to tide you over for a couple of months, that is. :D

Tiger for me. I've owned three Macs and all of them came with OS X, although the first one was with OS 9.2 and OS 10.0. It took me a long time to fully transition to OS X and that was only after Jaguar came out. I'll probably hold off on Leopard until the Spring. I'm cautious like that.:D

my powerbook and powermac have tiger, but my most used unit, my iBook G3, is running Panther like a Champ. It easily keeps up with Tiger on my PBG4, and Panther is absolutely perfect for what I do.

Long Live 10.3.9 :D

I run Tiger, used it as my main OS from 2006-present. I have 10.4.10 on my G3 and mini intel, however I sadly used Jaguar from 2004-2006, ugh, and I used to think it was great-until I upgraded to Tiger on the G3..

I mostly use Windows since that is what work thinks we should, even thought I am an audio editor. I wish we used macs but since most people use PC they thought it would be easier to use windows, and trust me it isn't.
Now at home it's Tiger (what I chose) since its the only way I'll go for now on.

Despite the fact that I make my living doing IT support for a 95%
Windows and 5% Linux shop, I use Tiger more.

Windows 95, 1997-2001  (A little OS 8 in there, too)
Windows 2000, 2001-2004
Mac OS X 10.1, 2004
Mac OS X 10.3, 2004-2005
Mac OS X 10.4, May 2005-present
I use Windows 2000 considerably now at school

When I got my iMac G5 in May 2005, I started experimenting with my old G3. I spent much of my summer cycling between 9.1, 9.2, 10.0, 10.1, and 10.3 on it.

I started using 10.4.0 pretty quickly, and I didn't have many problems. I'll probably upgrade to Leopard pretty soon.

well, i posted this poll because a bunch of people in the ipod forum are bitching about the new ipods needing 10.4 and apparently to my great surprise a lot of people didnt bother upgrading to tiger, dosent look like it from my poll at the moment though

p.s. i cant believe i actually created a poll where theres no one complaining about the poll choices!!:D ...yet

It's no surprise if you take a step out of MR and into the real world. Lots of people still use older versions. Why bother spending the money for the upgrade if what you've got gets the job done? I know a few people who still use OS 9.

Speaking of classic OSs -- where are they in your poll? And why are you lumping Windows with Linux? That's blasphemy as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Indeed. I use Mac OS 8.6 and Windows 95 and 98 on a weekly basis.
