Well, I got my order in.

I was getting the same error from the last couple days, then a few minutes later this screen, and then was able to proceed.

App was so glitchy, telling me my Apple Card number was wrong, and I couldn’t choose pickup, only delivery.

guess I’ll just have to take the SIM out of my current phone and put it into the 13?

I ended up ordering her phone out right for in-store pickup, so I have a few options:
* get them to switch the phone to IUP with TMO at pickup time, hopefully by then Apple and TMO got this problem resolved
* I also started a trade-in for her current phone, they're giving $635 for her 12 Pro, which is actually more than her remaining IUP payments
* just f'king keep her 12 Pro
* order another 13 Pro via EPP, doing it this way is actually cheaper than IUP, but the hassle of selling the old phones every year is annoying, but with Apple Trade-In, maybe it's not so bad

You lot are probably getting errors because the servers are unable to cope with the demand being placed on them, so whilst the system is processing one persons order a person doing the exact same thing at the exact same time clashes with the one who is already being processed and boom....error occurs.

Members who have reported the exact same errors have tried at other times of the day and it has worked.

If you wife is one of these people that needs to be in the 'in crowd', a person who likes to impress others with the things they have then yes, get the iphone 13, otherwise no, stick with the iphone 12 because the differences between the two do not justify the upgrade.

Then again, get the iphone 13 because if you've been successful in ordering yours, your wife will be annoyed that you've got the latest phone and she hasn't, regardless of how much she say's it will not bother her..it will.

She doesn’t care. But I always want both of us to have the best camera. Also the whole point of IUP is the ease of getting the latest phones on launch, this year it totally sucks, which makes me rethink the whole IUP and TMO combo. And now with apple trade in, it’s almost easier and definitely cheaper to buy them out right and just trade them in every year.

Just tried on my wife's phone, the IUP upgrade flow finally worked, but there's no more in-store pickup inventory and ETA is 10/20, so we're just gonna pick up the one we ordered at full price and see if they would be able to switch payment method to IUP.
