Wow. That's not even one of the more "popular" John Waters films-- that's some seriously underground cinema right there. You have good, if twisted, taste. (I loved Jean Hill as Grizelda, the maid.)

I love her! I loved Edith Massey more though. :)

I've been fortunate enough to meet John and Mink on a few occasions. They're big fun and hilarious. John married two friends of mine a few years ago- just flew in for the day. That was a blast. We also had him as our special guest for the Chicago Underground Film Festival a few years ago.

1. Bottle Rocket
2. Water World
3. The Royal Tenenbaums

Watchability. I have watched each one at least 30 times!!!

Wow, Royal Tennebaums is one of the movies I can't stand at all even though I like it... I mean in terms of watchability...

1. Star Wars: A New Hope. Saw it when it came out, and I knew that I'd be in a technology job some day. Blew my mind. Haven't made it into space. Yet. I'm hopeful that we're going to have semi-affordable orbital trips in the next 10-20 years. When we do, I'm there.

2. Highlander. Music by Queen. Acting by Sean Connery. Love it!

3. Time Bandits. Terry Gilliam. David Warner. Midgets. Fantastic, imaginative movie.

Wow, hard choices.. Funny to read what people picked, so many movies I really don't like, and some I love.

1. Gattica
2. Lilo & Stitch
3. Lord of the Rings

3. Labyrinth/The Dark Crystal (tie)

2. Blade Runner

1. Coraline

Labyrinth? I saw that once when I was little, and then tried to watch it again and got 20 or so minutes in and turned it off. David Bowie is cool, but not that cool. I'd sooner watch a regular Muppet movie.

Fight Club
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption / Office Space

The last 2 are a hard choice between them and its really based on the mood i'm in

Although I stand by my three choices (and honorable mention), there are a couple of other movies listed here that would be in my top 5 or 10.

Terminator 2: Ahnuld at his mechanical best.
The Dark Knight: I liked Christian Bale better in Equilibrium, honestly. But Heath Ledger went out in a freakin' blaze of glory, didn't he? The Joker has officially been redefined for the ages.

South Park, not even sure why. Seen it too many times to count, but thankfully iTunes tells me 13.
Die Hard.
Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel. Any movie I watch again after first seeing it is usually good sign.

There are plenty of films that I think are outstanding and very well made (Moon, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller, Pan's Labyrinth, Labyrinth, Dark Knight etc) but I can't rewatch them. Dark Days almost made it on the list too.

  1. Dr Strangelove or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
  2. Fight Club
  3. As Good As It Gets

Update: The more I look at this, the more I'm not sure. Top 10 would be much easier. I'm looking at other people's lists and thinking 'oh, that was a great film as well'. Still

Equilibrium is so freakin awesome!!!!! Very under-rated movie, very few people have heard of it, and much less have seen it! I love totalitarian dystopian future movies. Pretty scary these days
