I'm sorta surprised people need a mnemonic for cardinal points.

We were given a ton of them for navigation and (nautical) rules of the road. My favorite:

"Green to green, red to red, all is well, go ahead. (When in danger, or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!)"

Some others:

"Red over green, sailing machine"

"Red over white, fishing at night"

"White over red, pilot ahead"

"Red over red, the captain is dead" (Vessel not under command (adrift))

My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas worked until those scientists decided Pluto wasn't a planet. Bastards.

I used this one in my college zoology class for the classification of plants and animals.

Me, too.

I don't use them often, but these are the only ones I can think of are
the 30 days hath September poem for how many days and Mr. Pedmas for the order of operations and HOMES for the Great Lakes.

I always used "kinky people can orgasm from great sex"

Learned a lot in pharm and anatomy this year, most are suitable for publishing. I find the more sexual and odd they are, the easier I remember them.

The one I can remember are the class 1 antiarrhythmics: double quarter pounder lettuce tomato mayo faster please.

"All People Seem To Need Data Processing" is the one I got. I went to a pretty dry school, apparently. :D

My two network engineering teachers were a (ex?) stoner in his 50s with the dirty mind of a high school student and the other was in his mid twenties and just out of college so he shared our screwed up sense of humor. Both two of the best teachers I've ever had though :D

Well, as several people posted their mnemonics for the planets, I'll just post the one I learned for the Russell Spectrum of stars that I learned in college astronomy:

Oh
Boy,
A
Fine
Girl,
Kiss
Me
Right
Now,
Smack!

Leaves of 3, let them be
Berries white, run with fright
= Poison Ivy

And there's also half a million from my anatomy class.

The one we learned in English class was:
Hook
Opinion statement
Thesis

Topic
Info (stats, facts)
Details
Ending

(TIDE again)

Counter-arguement
Restate thesis
And
Bang (stats, facts)
Smack (call to action)

'Father Charles Goes Down And Ends Battle' or
'Battle Ends And Down Goes Charles' Father'

The order of sharps and flats in the major scales :)

Not really "useful" but the one I still remember an elementary school geography test is for the Great Lakes.

Huron
Ontario
Michigan
Erie
Superior

I've never needed to know the Great Lakes ever again. But, if my life ever depends on naming them, I'll be ready. ;)

My dad had one for trigonometry.. Some Old Horse Caught Another Horse Taking His Oats Away, or something. It didn't work for me, apparently. It was for the all the Sine, Cosine, etc. stuff.

I don't really have a whole lot.. I know I do, but atm I'm tired and can't think of them. Often, they only make sense to me anyway :D And, for the most part, I just remember what I'm supposed to remember without a memory aid. I'm good like that. If I'm going to remember something, 99% of the time it's not going to be because of a word picture or gimmick.

kind of like Every Good Boy Does Fine. I got that from my guitar teacher, for reading sheet music. Nah, it didn't work.
