Just done another video - I'll post it here for future reference
Great! Have to check that with my 400MHz G3 too.
During the last few days I captured Hi8 video with iMovie2 (os9) and rendered the DV-footage to H263-320x240 video which runs fine with that machine.
What are the specs of that YT video on your video?
Not sure about the one in TenFourTube but the one with TonVid is 360P h264.
TenFourTube's low res option is 240p. Default is 360p. Too bad QuickTime 7.7 wasn't available for tiger or it'd be better.
That's the CPU bottleneck - 240P will be webm or mp4 video muxed with webm or m4a audio - if only we could get 3gp video played in browser, CPU use would be a quarter of what it is with muxed video.
Might have to redo the video - just found that Tiger Webkit with a mobile user agent handles 'instant' Youtube the best!
Ha, how is it you do that magic? I mean the part after copying the url ...
Use youtube-dl in Terminal or one of my scripts from here:
Open in MPlayer
Ah, thanks! The holy grail of how to max-out video on PPC. I remember reading that thread earlier but I've lost track - should have bookmarked that link!
