Or is it just official music videos?

A bunch of vids that are just images of cafes or cottages with jazz or lo-fi are free for sure. Like the stuff that’s 6 or 12 hours long.

It seems to include just about anything containing any length of music. I recently downgraded to the lite version and am getting annoyed by the ads. Even if it’s just some home video of somebody playing an instrument seems to count.

This is exactly my experience. Better watch no music in YT lite. It is so annoying.

Yeah, it’s either the Premium tier or the Jack Sparrow tier in my opinion.

This is not correct. That’s why I asked above for an example. If you care about homemade music vids, those do not have commercials. Official music vids are of no interest to me and those, as stated, do have commercials. I watch tons of content with no ads. It’s not pointless, it’s great.

IRL meaning, the videos you don't want to watch will be ad free.😏 Popular videos will continue to have ads.😐
