Just need to be able to have the mobile browser version open automatically like the native app does now.
ie. MIME type action.

Because YouTube didn't write the App, Apple did?
arn
about time google, now apple needs to allow us to delete the app
Yeah I never use the app, I just go on the mobile site. I love the iPad mobile site, and this new iPhone one looks great too!
Yes! Now you also get a better icon too, like I had on my jailbroke 3GS!![]()

Needs to show more recent videos added by subscriptions on the home page! Right now, it only shows the most recent 15, with no option to load more than that. I like the way Apple's YouTube app sorts Subscriptions, but I suppose I'll have to compromise in order to take advantage of the higher quality over the 3G network.
EDIT: Also, videos don't play in 720p when on Wi-Fi, but they do on the native app.
Don't change language to "English: UK" either or it reverts to old site. Anyone know if there's a way to watch 720p? That's something I actually liked about the native app...
Click the "HQ'" button on the YouTube player! I don't know if it's 720p though but it is High Quality.
I'll give it a go but in my experience no web app has ever seemed as polished or fast as a native app (that goes for desktops too) but then I don't use YouTube much anyway...
EDIT: why haven't they added an icon for iPhone? That screenshot looks ugly on my home screen!!!
Looks nice. Google wants the web version to be better than the app because they see a future where apps are obsolete and browsers are the portal to everything - which is the idea they're pushing with their Chrome OS.
I hope it fails, TBH. I don't want to have to pull all my apps and data off of an advertising company every time I want to use my computer.

Yes, because Apple have no intention of data mining their customers...![]()
How could they? I host no data on any of Apple's services, and Google makes 99% of it's massive revenue from targeted advertising, so who's more likely to be interested in my data?
MobileMe is funded by you, not ads, remember.
Well that's good for you, but many people do use Apple's services. As was reported just a few days ago :
"Apple Inc., with a storehouse of billions of music, movie and software downloads, is studying the buying habits of many of its 150 million iTunes users to show more appealing mobile ads and fuel competition with Google Inc."
"Apple knows what you've downloaded, how much time you spend interacting with applications and knows even what you've downloaded, don't like and deleted,.
source Business Week.
Personally, I've no problem with that - nor with Google using customer data for their own targeted ads. Google describe themselves as an advertising company, so nobody should be surprised if they use customer data for their own advertising, and also no reason why Apple shouldn't do exactly the same. They're both chasing the same money, but Google somehow always seem to be seen as the bad guy. They're both as good or as bad as each other.
