YouTube has turned into **** the last decade. 99.9% of the stuff on there are fake videos, AI slop, fake movie trailers. It’s turned into a video slop hell.

Can they make it stop all the AI crap videos AND adds?
Anything that is all AI voice over or all AI video gets a flag, and we can select to not have those show up in our feed.
It wouldn't save us from AI script, but at least a human would have to read it.

Yeah I want to hide all channels that use AI voiceovers. I just don't want to waste my time listening to a voice that is pretending to be real but isn't. That doesn't benefit me.

I only want to see content made by humans and I only want to hear actual people voicing videos.

The exceptions are of course when the AI is being used for obvious parody and for comedic effect.

Good to see this. Should help prevent it to some extent. Hopefully the access will expand to everyone.

I just want Youtube to make a function where it auto detects ai content whether visual or audible or even based on text analysis of the script.

And then the option to never see that slop in my feed. Ever.

What about people who publish gross AI "videos" of themselves doing things that they are unable to do (lack of skill) and dropping unspeakable things on people?

Can they be called out and blocked?

I appreciate this. The argument the viewer should be able to identify and decide himself is only half the truth.

Also, it's about the dollars. Those channels gain a lot of revenue for nothing and real content creators suffer.

In the long run this will completely ruin the quality of Youtube if not addressed.

Can we have this for all of YouTube please, so I can turn AI off and not see any videos made with it

Thanks, everyone

Ahhhh welcome to the Pandora’s box. Enjoy your stay.

Oh, and why isn’t this tool for EVERYONE on YouTube? They’re sure happy enough to send anyone a take down notice for possible copyright violation, they can’t do the same here?

Don’t worry, I’m sure when it’s available to everyone, you’ll have to pay for it. So we’ll be paying big tech for the solution to the problem THEY created. Effing brilliant.
No would be forcing you to pay, nor use YouTube, you can even just browse your subscriptions. Congratulations you envisioned for yourself a future where you can continue to whine.

It's not a bad job security strategy. Have one part of Alphabet working on superior AI and another part working to thwart the problems created by the first.

But they can’t stop bot comments?
- This economy is tough, but I am happy that I made $2457 in the last two weeks.
- That's awesome! I did that with the help of John Banana.
- Yeah, John Banana is awesome, he helped many people out of financial ruin.
- I always hear about John Banana every time I go. He & his team are experts really know what they are doing.
- Oh, interesting, can someone tell me how to contact him? I am really doing badly right now
- You can contact him on EggGram

The Genie is already out of the bottle, Pandora's box has already been opened, not sure how any of this is going to get reversed, in 2 months the AI will get around the deepfake detectors

I understand the AI generated ads. Though I tire of explaining to my 70-year old dad that is not actually Oprah trying to sell you magic salt.

What I really don't understand is all the content that is nothing but generated images with a generated voiceover spouting BS information. Most of the AI leaders have indicated in one way or another that they don't want AI generated content feeding into their search/rag results. You'd think with Google being one of the biggest players, that they'd penalize this type of content out of existence on YouTube.

What they need to roll out as the ability for creators to not have them (Google) use AI to “enhance“ upload a contact without being asked. They also need to give users on option two filter out anything with AI generated visuals and non-human narration. I’m not interested in watching videos with a robotic voice reading a script that was generated by ChatGPT.
