I have used Zagg for a long time but their product isn't without its limitations as most protectors are. The Zagg IS provides 0... and I mean 0 protection against a drop. If anything it is more of a scratch protection product. This is in regards to their invisible skin line.

I most recently purchased the Zagg leather skin and must say I like it very much. Its not a wet application and it adds a nice comfort grip to the device. but the question was in regards to Invisible skin. My main issue is that after say a month of constant use.. the Zagg may detach if you are constantly putting it in your front pocket. The beauty of zagg is the lifetime replacement policy so you just pay for shipping and you get a replacement. Not free but at a lesser cost than buying a new shield.

Do I recommend this product? I say its just as good as others on the market but it only really protects from scratches. It's extremely durable and does make screen use a bit different but not a terrible product. If you do buy one... I would buy it straight from Zagg because replacement is easier than at a retail outlet.

This thread worries me..

Had thought Zagg were good, especially for preventing scratches.
Bought a Apple iPhone 4/4S Case Friendly (Screen)

As the cases I've bought don't have front protection (and I normally scratch my screens) I want to protect it, so not having a screen protector is not really a choice for me.

Cancelled order, not sure if I should buy the PhoneDevil one from Amazon which comes with 2 protectors for £8 or the SGP STEINHEIL ULTRA CRYSTAL for £11. Both are for iPhone 4 but should work with the 4s I guess. Got a phonedevil one for my iPad, like it...

I agree with the person who said zagg is good for the back/sides but not the screen. That's what I do. I use steinheil ultra oleophobic for the screen - they are the best by far, and I think i've used them all. I like the stickiness/tackiness/orange peel of the zagg for the back (and sides if you choose), makes it easier to hold the phone and it does provide protection.

I really hate big cases, i love the look of the white iPhone 4/4S, an i'm a minimalist in terms of covering it up... the less covered up the better. I also like being able to put my iphone in a dock without having to take it out of a case. You can do this with adhesive screen protectors on the front/back/sides (it will be very tight with zaggs on the front and back).

So... don't put a zagg on your screen, it sucks and won't feel right. Steinheil is the best... I'd recommend that (and no i don't work for them).

I don't like Zagg because:

1. it has an orange peel feel and look.
2. the edges loosen up after 6 months or so
3. it becomes yellow underneath
4. it does not protect from drop because mine created a crack line (no shield is gonna protect from a drop).
5. if you run your fingernail across it..it WILL leave the line on the shield. even if you create a small dent..it stays on there forever.

for warranty, it's lifetime, but you need to pay $3+ for a new one. and you need to ship the old one back to them.

I would never buy Zagg again. If you don't believe us, then by all means, buy it and learn :)

I'm using the Clarivue Ultra Clear one...LOVE IT...it's a sticky based instead of the Zagg wet based application. It comes with an extra pair with lifetime warranty. It's so clear that I don't even noticed that it's on there. You'll be able to see your screen as clear as if it's not on there.

By the way, check out monoprice.com as they have them as well for $1 each :) And it has very positive review. If I knew about it, then i would have tried it myself...

It's worth noting that you do not HAVE to use the water/wet stuff to apply a zagg protector. It's not like it's some magical chemical that causes a reaction to activate/set/strengthen the adhesive. You can put it on without it - the adhesive is already on the plastic protector pieces. The sole purpose of the water (and it is just that - distilled water) is so you can slide the piece around and get air bubbles out before the adhesive sets, to get the piece on there perfectly. It's not enough water to worry about damaging your phone, I've never heard of anyone harming their electronic device with the water spray.

I have a zagg on the back of my iphone 4s, I got it on there perfectly and I like the tackiness of it, makes it easier to hold the phone. But I'd never put one on the front over the screen... no way. For that the SGH steinheil protectors are the best... zaggs are horrible for over the front screen, looks bad and hard to move your finger. But I get the impression people think the zagg spray thing is some necessary chemical. It's not. Though they do advertise it so as to imply that it is. Try getting a screen protector on perfectly even without the water... it's very hard. I've done it but only after 5-6 tries, and even then it's 90% luck.

Well, in an act of desperation, I bought the Zagg front and back shield kit. I put the back on first and really like the subtle rubbery feel of it. Makes for a nice grip that don't slip. I would never put that on the screen though, so the rest of it sits in the box, unused.

Looking for the thinnest, clearest and most sensitive crystal shield for the screen next...

I just read this thread after getting a zagg invisibleshield installed on my new iphone 4s. I don't mind how it feels, but in reading this thread, some folks have mentioned issues with the screen. I don't really notice any issues, but I'm probably not as observant. It suits me fine.

Right now, I have the pixelskin HD and zagg invisibleshield as my only protection....hopefully, it's enough! But I had a iphone touch for 3 years with just a cheap screen protector and a belkin case, and it seems fine too...

I'm not that picky I guess.
