I received mine last week. The packaging and presentation is classy. The device itself is much larger than I thought but that is not an issue. The USB charging port for the Apple Watch moves a bit and could be a tighter fit, but it is not too flimsy. The device is robust and heavy so doesn't move around my bedside table.

The big issue:

See those two slots in the front? Noisy fans. So every time my phone is charging, the fan turns on and is very audible. As the device is on the bedside locker - it is a major flaw as it is simply too noisy. Already have written to Zens who confirm it is a fan (obviously) which is used to dissipate heat. This is a non-runner for me. It's too noisy.

That's unfortunate.

What kind of surface are you putting it on? Maybe placing a sheet of metal underneath helps.

That is a bummer about the fan. They should know that would be a deal breaker for most people. Especially, as you said you would most likely place by your bed to charge at night.

Thanks for the review. I was excited for this and now you saved me some money. Would rather spend it and have it work properly though. 😊

Received mine yesterday. I can hear the fan, but will test it a couple more days to see if I can deal with it at night on bed stand. It is very cool that where ever I place the phone or AirPods it just starts charging compared to every other wireless charger, where you have to find the perfect spot.

Did anyone who received notice that it smells? I am hoping this goes away, as I think it might be the fan operating. If it does not go away, that will definitely be a deal breaker.

I got mine in Feb after pre-ordering it and mine smells ... I am not a fan of it. Whenever I am near the charger I can smell it.

I messaged them, and they said it was because the first batch had this issue because they were packed soon after production, and they took the right steps for the next batches. They said other customers told them the smell disappears after a while but I got it in early Feb... Is yours still emitting that smell or did it go away?

I am on my third one. The first one was the mat one and it had the smell and the fan was audible. Returned and got the glass one and it still had a slight smell, but stopped working. Trying one more glass one and it still has the smell.

Really too bad, as it is so easy to use and I like the glass one. But, I can’t imagine that smell is good for your breathing in all night. They could have a good product, but will be likely be returning and calling it done with them.

I agree. Just a messy product all around. Mine stopped working at one point too and it turned out to be the charging adapter.

Did you buy yours from ZENS? I would return mine but problem is I bought it off ZENS, and they are in The Netherlands so the cost of return (which they do not cover, I asked) is going to end up being the price of the charger almost. Sucks but I feel like there isn't much I can do...

I purchased it from Amazon. Have you had an issue where it will stop charging? This has happened on all three of mine and the only way to fix it is to reboot my iPhone Pro. Guessing the charging is making the iPhone too hot and the iPhone shuts down the wireless charging. Not sure.

I would stay away from this product, as 3 try’s and you are out. For the price, it should be perfect, which is too bad, as it could be a great product. Maybe the above is why Apple never released theirs. Smart on their part..

Only had an issue once where it would not charge a day after I got mine but used my Apple 60W and noticed it was the charging adapter, which they replaced. Shipping a whole charger to NL is another story though and I got mine in February so I think I might be out of luck. I don't mind the charger just don't like the smell.
