Am I right in saying the dock doesn't rotate in landscape mode if you have it in zoomed view?
Correct--that only works in standard mode because zoomed mode from a window server perspective acts like an iPhone 5 (4.7") or 6 (5.5"). The 6 Plus features don't work in that mode.

iPhone 6+. I kept going back and forth but settling on zoomed.

I simply like less of a gap in between app icons and seeing them larger, filling in the screen.

It's really not even that big of a difference. I also rarely use the phone in landscape mode so don't mind not having the extra panel features in Mail and SMS.

Standard. I'm only 40. No need for reading assistance. Yet.

Wait. I'm on a 6. Maybe I do need assistance....

Comparing zoomed and standard on the 6 and 6 plus, the zoomed mode on the 6 plus essentially makes everything look the same proportion as on the iPhone 6. Setting zoomed on the 6 makes everything the same proportion as the iPhone 5S.

I'm flipping back and forth because with the 6 plus, it's nice to hold the screen at a more natural distance. You do lose the landscape views and stuff though.

with zoomed view, the messages apps, settings, etc. did not split in landscape mode.

So, i use standard view.

That's the reason I use zoomed view as I hate the split in landscape mode.

standard. Tried zoomed but it makes things like iMessages, mail etc look cramped and thats like being back on a 5s. Also zoomed makes iPhone 6 look more like a toy or phone for an old person with very poor eyesight

I flip back and forth with it. I like the Zoomed version better for larger items and larger landscape keyboard but at the same time I feel the Standard mode works better with iOS8 at the moment.

I thought I would like the landscape homescreen but to be honest, I don't. I use my phone in Portrait mostly. Sometimes I turn it landscape to type out two handed messages. I am not as big of a fan of the two sided notes, email, etc... on the 6+. It doesn't help that I've been using an iphone since the 3G model came out and we didn't have these features on it. I do use my ipad rmini in both landscape and portrait so it is hit or miss with me. I think I just haven't adapted to it yet. Eventually I will settle on one or the other.

I also do not like that the homescreen may be upsidedown when I take the phone out of my pocket so I have to wait for it to turn. In Zoomed mode I don't have to wait for that. No I don't want to turn on rotation lock since that works for everything, not just certain specific apps like the zoomed mode.
