The same old fanboy comments continue:

"the more they are inclined to hate Vista based on legitimate shortcomings, not just because the Leopard commercials tell them to" HOW ABOUT SECURITY HOLES! Vista at it's release was far more secure than Leopard:

"Case in point the December 12th, 2007 Apple Security Update 2007-009. With the update, the Cupertino-based company patched no less than 31 security holes impacting a variety of products, but with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard taking center stage. Although Apple does not rate security flaws in accordance to a severity rating, almost half of the vulnerabilities allow for the execution of arbitrary code. This is equivalent with a Critical label judging by Microsoft terms.

In order to make a comparison between Vista and Leopard, you would have to consider that Microsoft has released a total of 12 Critical security bulletins for its latest Windows client, in the entire period since its launch, for over a year, judging according to the business release in November 2006. Out of the 18 patches impacting Leopard, no less than eight can be considered critical, as the vulnerabilities allow potential attacker to run arbitrary code on an affected platform. "

And then again fanboys rant about copying/stealing Apples ideas: Are you not going to drive a Toyota just because Ford was the first mass produced car? Someone else came up with the English language, but we all are using it. Who really cares if MS is taking some of Apple's ideas? Did Apple care when they took ideas from Xerox-Parc? No. They saw a good thing and ran with it.

The Zune has a better ecosystem than iPod/iTunes and a phone entering this ecosystem would be good.

The Zune Phone looks pretty cool.

I think it's in MS's best interest to come out with their own Touchscreen Platform, just like HTC (G1), Apple, and Blackberry did.

They can then just use different s/w and interface for Windows Mobile Touch or Zune Phone.

Might as well. Plus, it keeps Apple on its toes!

I've seen people who have the T-Mobile G1 and they like it - comes pretty close to the iPhone!

Instead of a "zune phone" I think MS may break its mobile division up a bit.

I think we can expect to see a "Pro" or "Business" mobile OS, and a "home" or "consumer" mobile OS. One will be the same old Windows Mobile, and the other will be a bit more contained, and a bit more iPhone/zune-like

I mean, they did buy Danger after all .......
