seems my location services for the app store stays on even tho i have it turned off which leaves the loacation icon in my status bar at all the times
Same here, had to totally disable location services as it was draining my battery and getting my i5 hot.
The Settings > Usage > Manage Storage screen loads A LOT faster.
- Not sure what else to call this anything other than "Enhanced location service privacy notifications" -- See first screenshot below.
iPhone 5 - landscape keyboard takes up the whole length of the screen now. used to be spaces on either side. another hint towards new screen sizes later this year![]()
Additional features i've noticed after using for a few days:
- No limit on # of photos attached to an email? Either this is a bug, or its now mirroring my exchange server attachment size limit (10mb)
SureCan you post a picture of what you're talking about?
For the post on possible new font because it looks smaller, it is actually the same font (helvetica neue), but iOS 8 allows for an even smaller font size. Originally the smallest you could go on font size in settings was 14pt, but now you can go down to 12pt. So if you slide the slider to the smallest font size in your phone settings then when you upgraded to iOS 8 it is even smaller.
I have a feeling this may be because of the new bigger iPhones. So with the bigger screen the font at the smallest size would still appear 14pt.
iOS 8
if you do the upgrade not restore trick you can use the beta until the phone turns off, but after a day of use it just decided to check its activation againI guess I'm locked out again - heres to restoring ios7 and updating again, unless anyone has a spare udid?
Not sure if I've ever noticed it before, but in settings, say settings->general->about
you can swipe from the left to right to go back a screen

Introduced in iOS 7.
From what I understand and have experienced in the past - Apps can be updated for compatibility support during the beta period - i.e. if an App like Spotify is broken, it can be updated so it works. However, anything using new APIs can't be published until release date (for example if an app wants to take advantage of extensions, they won't be allowed to release that update until the day the iOS update is made available to the public).

Also, I made a topic about this, I haven't seen anyone talk about it, and the topic is being ignored, but it's a big deal: iOS 8 no longer requires a Wi-Fi connection for AirPlay
