Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

This sounds awesome!
I'll be downloading this on my MBA when I get back home!
Thanks Apple! Sounds like some cool new features!

Maybe I have been to naive to notice the "full-screen" zoom feature that opera had to offer but now that safari is offering it, this is going to be great. I can't count how many times I zoom in for family when showing them things.

My biggest plus in all of this, nearly 4x faster! :D Heck yeeah! I have always loved and stuck with safari for some reason. Yeah, sometimes it runs a little slow and sucks up ram but I like it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, it makes me feel like I'm on my mac when I'm on a windows machine. :)

pros: new and shiny

cons: seems noticeably slower than FF3, but i'll give it a few more days until the entire cache has been rebuilt.

The new tabs are awful. If only there were an option to have them the old way, or to make them the old size.

I disagree

Seems faster than FF3 to me. Of course I've been using it for a whole 20 minutes, but I like it so far.

i really need a larger sample size (as do you), but we'll see. some stuff seems faster and better rendered ... some stuff seems slower and less well rendered.

Does anyone know how this compares to the dev preview? I'm about to start the beta download now. I've been using the dev preview for a while now and it is pretty solid.EDIT: I have it now and it is really fast, but I think it broke my 1password plug-in.

I'm not crazy about the Windows-native look. I always liked having a little bit of a Mac look on my PC.

better wait for a moment if it will overwrite the 3,
cus i'm not sure if the plugin installed still works in safari 4 ....
or i would start thinking about the roll back. :(

and the package can't be opened by pacifist 2.5.2

WOW! This really is the fastest browser ever.

I love the top sites visited history thing. Its amazingly laid out and takes almost no time to load a web page. Great Job Apple!

I agree, they're absolutely terrible.

You're also forced into having a "bookmark it" button since Apple has now made it part of the address bar. I always previously removed the bookmark button. And the stop/refresh button has completely disappeared.
