I'd love to update, but my iPod 4 won't support it. Updated my iPads though.

i still think that iOS 5.1.1 was the best version

i have iOS 6.1.2 and it's buggy as all hell but it allows me to have the jailbreak

I loath iOS 7
Sure, iOS 6 needed some pizzaz, but iOS 7 UI is just garbage! Steve would fire Tim if he could!
Switching to Android asap.

Yea, the reanimated corpse of Jobs is going to smash into Apple headquarters and fire Cook.

Hold up, I just got the sequel to that Jobs movie right here.

Having used iOS 7 for a while, I envy the 27%.

Spot on, my wife accidently update her iPad Mini to iOS7, she hates it. Thinks it's ***** horrible and something designed in the 70's.

Sadly I didn't realise she had done it in time and cannot downgrade back to iOS6.

It's slow, the colours are hideous. That 27% don't realise how lucky they are.

73% is pretty good for 6 days. I love how articles are skewed to make things look bad when they really aren't.

Compare ANYTHING to something better and you'll get skewed statistics. Gee, Brad Pitt's success rate with women is 80%. But George Clooney has only 73% success rate. George must be a loser.

I had to have my old 4S swapped out at Apple last week due to water damage (AppleCare+) The new (refurb) one was running on iOS 6 and after a few days I had to update to iOS 7. It was difficult to go back 6 after using 7 for three weeks.

*insert comment about still being quicker than Android adoption rates*

end with sarcastic "dooooooomed!"

Odd, my Exchange has had no such problems. That's a hell of a bug and a good reason to switch back.

It's an Active Sync issue between iOS 7 and Exchange 2010 when using PUSH. Not sure who's fault it is - but there is no problem in 6.1.4.

I suppose I am in the minority. I quite like iOS 7. There are issues, however. Safari to me is terrible. The break from convention for the location of the forward / back buttons is bad. The scroll to the top by touching the top of the screen doesn't always work. Instead it brings up your bookmarks.

I'm not a fan of the new icons and the overall theme is too bright.

With all that said, the positives for me outweigh the negatives. I'm using a iPhone 5.

For the members in my family using iPhone 4, the upgrade is terrible. performance is very laggy. 4s is not quite as bad, but still not entirely fluid like on the 5

My in-laws have iOS 7 on their iPhone 5 handsets and iPad Retina, and they hate it. While I don't mind the look, it's the other functionality that's really annoying, not to mention assorted issues they've been having with mail and text/iMessage notifications.

My iPhone 4S will be holding on to 6.1.3 like grim death. I can't wait for the jailbreak so I can remove the stupid badge on settings icon nagging me to update.

It's at 73% after a month of being available, not 6 days.

I agree, the theme is incredibly too bright. If they want the software to match the hardware then they should give a black UI to those on black iPhones or allow users to choose. The white is blinding at night even with brightness as low as possible.

Well, no surprise since iOS7 is not being supported by iPod 4th generation + > iPhone 3Gs. Now fragmentation is showing even more.

They should release "light version" of iOS7 to cope with the older devices (which still around). Forget about pressing your customer to upgrade every time you release new shiny devices.

Big mistake Apple, big mistake.

Be sure to put on that flame retardant suit. Be prepared for the onslaught of 'that isn't what fragmentation is' lectures, as people tweak the definition to make it sound like that's not what it is (it is fragmentation, you are correct).

1. Fix the frequent Safari crashes
Are we not allowed the surf the web without an app for each webpage now?????

2. Recent search in Safari is all wacked now
Nowhere close to being accurate.

3. I've never had Mail crash once on other iOS updates and now Mail crashes often
4. iOS7 update defaulted my sounds to default on my custom rings for people in my favorites so everybody had the same sound
5. Defaulted the side switch to Mute when I had it set for screen lock
6. When I do a search with google, the google icon on my bookmark changes that of the last search.
WTF!

iOS7 has been the most troublesome update I have done in the last 3 years!

Hm, contradictory reports.
I think we'll know a lot more next week.
If iOS 7 adoption rates are higher than iOS 6, Apple will surely brag about it.
If iOS 7 adoption rates are lower than iOS 6, Apple probably won't mention it.
One way or another we'll pretty much know.

One could conclude then that not having Google Maps was considered to be LESS of an issue than iOS7 design flaws

The functionality of iOS 7 is great, and that's why I upgraded my phone. But the look just misses the mark, badly. On my iPad, where the functionality isn't as important, I'm sticking with iOS 6.

This +1000. Aside from the few bugs, the functionality is great. I just don't like the overall look, particularly all the icons, Calendar, and everywhere else where skeumorphism was removed. To me, this fits:

If Apple was still signing 6 you'd see a huge downgrade spike! 8 out of 10 hate iOS 7 and beg me to downgrade them.

I have to keep killing hope with everyone who asks me.

All the people I know that have migrated (about 20) love it.
It's just matter of being open-minded and willing to learn the differences.
It has enough features to make it worth upgrading, the little glitches are minimal annoyances. Overall, it's a great OS.
