You seem really insecure about your sexuality...Mustang.

Men don't need to dress femininely like women to feel secure about their masculinity!

Doing so, is just a middle-school, reverse-psychology dare that women/society use to see if they can manipulate men to behave more like them. It's just another bs test that women use to measure the controllability levels of men - which, itself, demonstrates women's own insecurity about trusting men.

Only men who care way too much about women's/society's opinions and approvals of them believe your nonsense.

A "Real Man" doesn't need to "prove" his masculinity to others to be secure in it, because he doesn't rely on the permission and approval of others to do what he wants.

And, for the record, most women will say they like men to dress femininely, but inwardly they will cringe, and gag on their own vomit a little when they see it.

Even women want men to dress and behave more masculinely, so your argument is meaningless.

Either way, Apple will design things that women find attractive, because that's what they do.

So, you’re single, right?

:D

Nobody wants an iWatch

Everyone will look silly using the same watch.

Only nerds like people wearing google glass in public will use it

Tech gear must be attractive

Human nature doesn't like a watch that everyone has people.

Apple must know this hence many iterations

They aren't there yet IMO

If it will look like a modern toy then yes. But I doubt that. Besides, this devices will be more used for health related purposes, that's a bit different then wearing it as a ordinary watch. Lot's of people like to skate with groovy looking skates, doesn't mean they take them along to work.. :apple:

I hope the iWatch is waterproof. If not it will be a missed opportunity.
I have a waterproof watch and I don't even think about it. Go to the pool, beach, shower and it is always there without the worry that it might break because elf water.
As a swimmer, I would love the device to track my performance.

Has anyone discussed how this design keeps from spinning endlessly on the wrist? Or do we believe that a gyroscope always keeps the focus "up?" (And in that case, what if you're lying down? Do we need a switch to lock orientation?)

Also, most of us aren't going to want a plastic-y bangle hitting our desks as we type all day long.

This design can't be right.

Is.. is this a serious post?

I’ve posted this 1000 times ... OK, I guess 1001 now :D

... but, +yes+, if it’s really a wearable/watch, I hope Apple factors in these types of products are prone to more exposure to water (and bumps/knocks for that matter), than a phone.

Especially if it’s going to be used for “health” related activities, I would assume it would need at the bare minimum, water resistance (vs. sweat), and I would hope it would be water proof to at least some kind of general water activity level (10 meters?). Swimming, fishing, surfing, boating, skiing, exposure to snow, sweat, beer, etc. :D

Just make it solid, no ports, no physical buttons, conductive charging, LV BT for communication, maybe NCF[?]

Sept event:
iPhones
iOS 8 release date/gm
iWatch

Oct event:
iPads
New Mac hardware
OS X Yosemite release
Apple TV

Would be nice to hear about new Apple TV since iOS 8 is coming up but I doubt but I wonder what iOS8 would bring to current Apple TV. Another hardware would be a nice upgrade would be Airport Express getting a 802.11AC or Airport Extreme finally gets Airplay so we would not double dip for Airports anymore or Apple TV new one finally gets 802.11AC, only one could dream.

Who really knows and I hope OS X Yosemite is compatible with iMac mid 2011 would hate that I would need to upgrade.

Ahhh, I guess that's why I can't pick up any chicks when I wear my high heels, pleated jeans skirt and leather bustier.

I expect they will stick with the i-Product naming convention, but I totally agree that "iWatch" is very unlikely to be the name they use. This name was entirely a creation of the rumor industry, and it makes no sense as anything more than a placeholder for a product that essentially nobody outside of Apple knows anything about. I thought it was kind of ironic for MR to be calling out Brian White for his less than stellar "track record" in predicting Apple products, since by putting the name in quotes, he seems to be getting at least this one thing right, and it's one that MR never has.

For various reasons like these, I'm still thinking 'iPal' could be a great name for that rumored companion device.

Fantasy

At least we will know if iWatch is more then vaporware if we start seeing a bunch of leak shots of the various components and jigs used to make it. But 3 months away from September is pure fantasy. iWatch is only real if MacRumors has daily leaked screenshots of screws and parts and connectors and jigs that are expected to be used in the device.

iPhone 6 parts have been leaked for months and Apple is not expected to release this product until the fall schedule. Absolutely nothing leaked about iWatch other then analyst opinion is a big clue you should not expect one this year.

Also the biggest clue that September is out to lunch is that there was no mention of an iWatch OS or SDK at the WWDC, so there will be nothing to actually run on the iWatch other then whatever Apple wants to do with it. I can't imagine Apple would miss a chance to whip developers into a frenzy to inspire thousands of new apps for the new iWatch before it hits the streets, so no mention of an SDK or even a design guide means Apple is not prepared to release this product this year.

Here is a spy shot of the iWatch that's designed for men who needs to prove their manliness. No dainty bangles for a manly man.:D:p

Not so sure I know what's communicated by the name iPal, but it's better than iWatch. Since we're trading predictions, here are some of mine from back in February.

If MR wasn't so convinced that they've already got it right (for no good reason that I can figure), they'd be polling their readers about what they think Apple's wearable tech will be named. That would be a more interesting discussion than what we get from the "iWatch" threads. Invariably they turn into debates about the merits of watches, which totally misses the point I think.

Sounds like they're trying to better position themselves against Samsung's triad of the Galaxy S phone, Galaxy Note phone, and the Galaxy Gear watch, which is smart as Samsung has not totally sucked in their marketing of these devices in the way that others have.

I don't know anyone who has, or would like to have, a Galaxy Gear watch. Too bulky and boring. Hope Apple can do a better job than that POS.

Not sure what you read from my quote but your inner monologue interpreted it incorrectly. I specifically said "myself". In no way can that be misconstrued as speaking for all men. Unless I'm joking (as in my response to DriedTurnip) I tend to phrase all my quotes as personal opinion, relating to me only - see my tag. If someone agrees with my assessment, fine. If they don't, it's equally fine. I would just ask that you not attribute thoughts to me that didn't actually come from me.

As for the bracelets, the flourish was hyperbolic, the actual shape is spot on.

My apologies. On re-reading your original post it does make sense as you explain it. I got mentally tangled up in the "as a man" qualifier b/c I usually just say "personally" and leave it at that and made a snap post. I should have reread first. You are 100% correct.

The shape is spot on, but so is fuel band or baseball seam bracelet. The latter is not something I'd wear, not because I'm a man but because it's not me. I do wear a fuel band, and the funny thing is women tell me they want one but never wear one because it's not pretty.

Although your post is very short, yes, I completely agree in that a watch is a fashion statement...watches range from $10 to $100,000 depending on a lot of factors.

I believe the iWatch may have some neat functionality, but at the end of the day:

a)it's not going to replace (physically on my arm) my current watch that I love

b)I don't want a glorified computer/iTouch on my arm

c)I don't want to have the same watch as (if it ever got this popular) 5 million other people (again we go back to fashion)

d)I'm not looking to look like an ultra-nerd or Apple fan boy with said technology watch strapped to my wrist.

iBand

It needs to be a band like the UP band but better and much, much thiner - fully water proof (not resistant) with inductive charging.

It does NOT need to be a watch - for all the reasons people have already given here.

iWatch sounds like a better name for their rumoured TV product to me...

People from 8-80 don't seem to care about using the same phone as everyone else. It seems that the majority here prefer it. So why not the same thing for a watch?

What were you hoping for?

Uh, not everything to fall from the sky in ~1 month. It's bull crap that "It'll be released when it's ready". Yeah sure... EVERYTHING just happens to be ready in the the same ~1 month window (mid september to mid october).
