Apple Selling New Leather/Silicone Cases for iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus

Silicone will Work

I am ok with the silicone. Being a vegan, I don't use animal products and my Iphone will not either. But at least there is a choice. There of course will be the ton of cases on Amazon that will be much cheaper.
 
I wouldn't buy any apple leather case except the black one. The die starts to rub off after a new months and your case gets this black color underneath the main color and it looks like it's permanently dirty.
 
The black leather case for the 5s was well made, just too thick for my tastes. The silicone cases are just robbery considering what they're charging. Unreal. But I'm sure people will still snap them up like crazy.

Leather is nasty. Such a strange contrast to have a sleek modern phone in leather case. And, considering it's made in China, it's probably dog skin or something.

Yep. I'm actually surprised that Apple sell leather accessories. Even more surprising that Steve allowed it when he was running the show.
It seems like a company that would have moved far beyond that.

I have the red leather case and love it as well. It said right on the box that the leather will discolor with use. I always found that to be kinda cool. Leather with a worn look is cool in my opinion.

I will probably get the red leather case for the 6+. Can't wait!!
 
It's nice that they've finally fixed the labeling on that green color that they've been calling "yellow" for this past year.

I think I read the silicone is moved from location to location on the backs of donkeys being ridden by monkeys... Is that still Vegan?

I made the mistake of buying the blue one and three months later it's an absolute mess.
 
I use a cheap gel case. Charcoal, see through, soft, lip on the front, grippy. Perfect

I do wish they had come out with a smart case, at the very least for the plus version.

I don't know the products authenticity, but nevertheless it comes in black, white, mint, clear. Have never bought spigen cases before, just ordered one

I have one on my 5s since launch day, and it's the best iPhone case I've ever had. It's the slimmest, best fitting, most comfortable, most durable, and most useful case I've ever had. I've gone through dozens over the years with various iPhones. The Apple leather case for the 5s was the first one that got all the points right.

I had the "beige" leather which was as close to white as they made. It was an excellent case, the fit was perfect and feeling was fantastic.

I used leather spray on it about every 2 weeks to keep it clean and moisturized.

The first one lasted about 2 months before it was dingy and starting to split on the corners. Apple replaced. But the 2nd one did the same thing. I went to something else.

It was a very functional case and it felt great, but it did not hold up at all.
 
Please ... can anyone tell if the Apple iPhone6 leather case is open at the bottom??? There's no good photo but it looks like it does not cover the bottom side of the phone.
 
I love my leather 5S case. It has a nice patina going. The edges are bunged up where it took the abuse of my dropping it a few times. I will get one fir my. 6+
 
As much as i love the leather case, i won't be getting another one for the 6 until the issue of it getting dirty the second its out of its box! I'll have a look at the silicon one, if its not super sticky that pulls your pocket inside out with the phone.:rolleyes:
 
No thanks, Apple. I recently removed the case from my 5s, and absolutely love it. Once I get the 6, that will be caseless as well.
