iPhone 6 Begins Shipping to Customers for Sept 19th Delivery

If nobody is home to sign for delivery, the driver has been instructed to give the phone to the closet Android user. This is Apple's new plan to gain new users.

I ordered my 64 gig space gray 6 from verizon around 630 am eastern time. It shipped out a few hours ago.
I could have easily said the same about those sports freaks of having to watch 10 games at once and keep track of every score or fight over which team is better. I also know that for the next six months I'll be hear nothing but college football at work. I also have friends that would get up at 3-4 a.m. to watch european sports then drag themselves to work at 8.
People enjoy different things, there is no need for name calling. I have always listened to my colleagues when they talk about football despite the fact that I don't care about it at all.
It's my personal sacrifice to you My precious time.

My verizon pre order shipped this morning and says delivery on the 18th by 3 pm. Heres to hoping
I wouldn't get your hopes up. In previous years we've seen similar situations. Typically they'll end up changing the delivery date the day before or the day of to reflect a Friday delivery.
With that said, you never know...
I actually just woke up in the morning like I normally do, remembered that I could preorder the phone, and did. Whoops, did I just deflate your big bag of hot air?
Course, you on other hand have a rich fulfilling life watching us do this and commenting on it. You should be thanking us all for giving your life meaning, watching us.

Seems like the those with iPHones and used the apple store app worked out the best this year.
Yup. This is the "culture" of vapid materialism that our beloved Apple so cunningly cultivates.
Nothing wrong with people being excited about a new product. Harmless.
Personally, i find it more pathetic to see people wasting their time coming into this thread to tell those people that they have no lives.
I'll be tracking the trucks this year, seeing as how mine is already in the states!

Also got notification from Verizon for delivery on the 18th by 3.
Noticed the shipping was "Standard Overnight"
Shows the phone was already picked up and in process.
If it's picked up, and "overnight" you'd think they are holding off delivery, Overnight would indicate Monday/Tuesday delivery.
If they are holding off delivery, why would they estimate Thursday and not Friday? Oh well. It will get here when it gets here I guess. I better print out one of those pre sign slips though, I have appointments on the 18th and would hate to miss it!
Side Note: I hope the 4.7" looks/feels relatively larger than the 5S. I was in Verizon yesterday and after having a Galaxy S4 for 1.5 years, I looked at the 5S and cringed at how small it looked and felt. I've heard a couple of media reports say "It's not all that much larger than the 5S" I hope it's large enough to see a clear difference, my eyes just can't go back to a small screen. Everything looked so crammed together! I know, it might work fine for some, but for me, as much as I hated to, I walked away from the iPhone when my 4 died vowing to come back when the screens got bigger. I think the 5.5 is too big for me, so I'm praying the 4.7 will be big enough.
