Bad news if you have ordered from Three on preorder day. Looks like you are not getting your iPhones on release day.

This is a reply from three on facebook when someone has been messed around with their preorder. So what technical errors are they talking about?

Three UK Hi Scott - Really sorry to hear you've had this experience We've had to push back the delivery date due to increased demand and technical errors. If you'd like to express your dissatisfaction, you can fill in our support form: http://bit.ly/1q51t23 >Madeline

OUCH!

It seems that the major UK carriers have effed up the prelaunch in a big way. No extra bandwidth on Friday causing o2 and EE websites to both crash for pretty much the whole day. These are both very very large organisations, to not have contigency or the foresight that demand would be high shows how little they thought any of this through. Espeically when you consider Tim Cook himself said that the new iPhones would trigger the mother of all upgrades.

Most people who managed to pre-order have been left in the dark, or not had any sort of notification. They continue to take preorders on the basis of delivering in a couple of weeks, whilst then telling people that it might be more like a month.

The updates they are giving via Twitter etc are so ambiguous they might as well say nothing at all. EE are currently directing customers to a page which details how the delivery process works which is so woolly that it seems to have confiused people more.

I can't see this getting any better come Friday, or for the next few weeks as peoples expectations of delivery timescales start getting dashed.

I'll let you know which I keep!

I have also used the brodit clips and holders and have done for a number of years. They are by the best solution by far. I have my clip for my current car just waiting for the iPhone 6 holder to be released.

Three are ****ing useless. I'm going sim free for the next iPhone I get. I won't deal with those Cretins ever again.

UPS - was shipped yesterday: Origin Tamworth and arrived lunchtime today. The case feels a great size and pleased I have not gone with the 6plus as I really think that would be too big for my needs - especially as I use my phone when exercising.

Looking forward to Friday to get the phone to fill the case!

Mine says Postal Delivery, did yours?

Interesting on the Vodafone site certain models now saying 2-4 weeks others saying Friday 19th still.

I just placed an order now fingers crossed for Friday, chances are slim though.

I believe he was referring to the brodit proclip! I had one for my 5 which was a nice bit of kit!

Yep brodit proclip. Very nice it is too.
Highly recommended.

Ditto, waiting for the 6plus one to be released.

Further to my post earlier, Three mobile have just updated their app to be compatible with IOS8.

I really hope Apple don't use TNT for our Phones.
Bloody TNT just lost my brand new bike was due to be delivered today.
Going to be nightmare for couriers on launch day.

Same here. Best clip I've ever had in my Ford Focus. Hope it's not long before they get a 6 plus holder out as I use my iPhone as my Sat Nav all the time.

Most likely UPS. Has been for all my Apple deliveries.

UK iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Thread

I have one of those - it's amazing and well made! I think it could fit the iPhone 6 OK, but I really couldn't see it fitting the iPhone 6+.

I can have a look after work for max width if anyone wises.

----------

iPhone 6+ 64GB in gold, I ordered around 9AM on the Friday.

Looks decent quickly tried it, solid, rather than the cheapo's off eBay and like. It's advertised on the manufacturers (not Apple's) website that it's compatible with the 6 (double checked first ;) ), and they are bring out an extended + version for the 6+

----------

I dislike vent based holders, as especially in the summer I'm hot after work and the vents are needed!

This is what I've bought, cheap and probably horrible but I've used a similar style one since the 4, so they've not all bad.

My iPhone 5 mount has a solid arm so hopefully the holder will attach to it, the flex arms are useless.
I've had a few different suction types, just can't get on with them, they wobble, lose suction in hot, in cold etc

True, although I have a "posh" car you see, it has more than 1 vent ;)

UPS most likely mate, and sorry to hear about your bike :eek:

Has anyone found anywhere that have full body shields in stock or available immediately after release?

Hate cases and used zaggs/bodyguardz on all my previous iphones so wouldn't mind getting one for the 6 plus. Can't seem to find anywhere in stock that's not mega £££

Thanks

MacRumors is saying the iPhone 6 Plus has 1GB. I was getting my hopes up it was getting an upgrade to 2GB

My Spigen Capsule case arrived today. It's available for 6/6+, this is the 6 one. Didn't realize it was soft/flexible (nobody dare take that out of context :p) until I opened it. Seems nice though! I can link anyone who's interested, was about £9 from eBay

Waiting on a screen protector and of course the phone itself! (No idea when that's coming

As I've previously posted, my upgrade order for a 6 plus 64gb is showing a delivery date of 19th in my3. I asked the question in the 3support twitter feed and they have advised that the date is accurate and I will receive my phone on Friday. Still don't believe it though!

Here are a couple more fotos. I got my Spigen tough armour 6+ case as well.

It must depend on Location! My last 3 iPhones and a MacBook Air came via UKmail!

I hope it's UPS, because they tend to come around 11:00 whilst UKMail come late afternoon in my experience.

CAN YOU TELL I'M EXCITED YET!!!!! :D:D:D
