Still saying tomorrow even though it's evidently in South Korea right now. That'll be impressive if it doesn't get pushed back.
I joined My UPS Choice yesterday and this morning requested it be held at the local UPS. According to tracking, it has arrived in Ithaca, NY and is waiting for me to pick it up.

So apparently my phone is on a trailer 10 minutes from house....
They have no intention of opening it to let me pick up my phone and have no intention of putting it on a truck and bringing it to me today...
Even though it's before noon and I am 10 minutes away....
I don't mean to sound like a dick but WTF is the deal with that?
Was quoted 1-3 day shipping time on an order at 12:02am Pacific on launch day, still stuck in Preparing for Shipment.![]()
The 'Ships' time is an estimate of when the item will leave our warehouse. For example, if an item displays "Ships: Within 24 hours," the item will leave our warehouse within 24 hours after you place your order.
Your phone is surely buried in with about 3,000 other packages. And the guys that drive the forklifts and sort...they work nights. Its not quite as easy as running in the back to get it.
They have a very well-worked system. Louisville only works early AM so no point to rush it there with another flight from Korea. Your local sort facility also works early AM so no matter when it arrived, it goes out the next day, etc. They can't just add more shifts of people during these 2 weeks a year.
Ditto that if you get my " space grey"![]()
Dude. I just realized our phones are in Korea! Not Louisville like I thought. Dang!! Also, it looks like my address request didn't take. Not that it's your problem but just sharing.
Here is my updated one. What does yours look like?
Was quoted 1-3 day shipping time on an 32GB AT&T space grey at 12:02am Pacific on launch day, still stuck in Preparing for Shipment.![]()
Actually, your phone is in a plane over the Pacific.
Remember the international date line. After it leaves South Korea, it will arrive in Alaska about 10 hours earlier the same day. Then it needs to get to Louisville and then it is a matter of whether the flight from Louisville gets to your local hub in time to get on the truck. In the Atlanta area our flight had a mechanical issue which caused some deliveries further away from Atlanta to get delayed a day, while mine which is closer to the airport made it on the truck. It is quite the crap shoot.
Soooo, my 0302am Apple order of the Space Grey 32 AT&T was delivering today and after using UPS My Choice on Sunday chose to hold at my customer center wiil call since I was traveling home today. My guy normally delivers around 0945 so I knew I wouldn't be home until noon. Around 1130 (phone in transit from Hapeville, GA), I call to check on the pick up hours and they are 830-noon and 4-7p.
I get home at noon, pat the dogs, but they start barking. Something is in the driveway ... it's UPS ... could it be... nah ... BUT it is!
Delivered!!!
He handed it to me and then said he just got the message to hold but, ... never mind. It was great!
The Space Grey is an awesome color!
Best to everyone in the group. I hope your phone delivers early with tailwinds from China/Korea/AK. We'll see y'all in a year!

Did you get yours activated?
I had this problem when I upgraded to ios7 last week. Their servers suck. Just keep trying over and over. I made it through on about the 15th try.
