Someone once told me that people who need to brag and show off have pretty low self esteem. I wonder if there's any of that at work here?

Oh wow!

Confucius say U MAD.

It's cheering to know there are idiots who would pay me 400 bucks for my unlimited plan.

Good times she wrote.
3 yrs from now I resell for at least $600. How am I am idiot again?

Oh, you will say my sim will be worth less than that.

Disagree sir. PM me March 2014. I will give you a sweet deal. :D

buying the SIM for $400 could play out to be a good decision or a terrible mistake, in the future it might triple what you bought it for or AT&T might return the unlimited plans for a limited amount of time which some carriers tend to do...Glad your happy with you iPad

Also The money he saves throughout the years will amount to $400 or more

And for those who complain how much he has spent always remember Happiness is priceless

I'm $1,490 in with my 64gig black AT&T 3g model. I find it hard to wait on stuff and just said ****, I'm going to by what I want without waiting for months for an iPad 64gig 3G AT&T to actually ship.

So, here is my purchase experience as of 4 days ago...:

$1000 iPad
$40 grey smart cover
$400 unlimited SIM on eBay
$50 full invisible shield

Everything works great and I love it. No regrets at all. If you have the coin, I'd highly recommend just doing it and not looking back...

Discuss.

Got the coin, but have no issue waiting. More principal than anything, as you only paid roughly $160 more than if you purchased at store level for the iPad. I wouldn't have purchased the $400 sim card though, but that's just me. But to each his/her own. You're happy, so that's the important thing.

Yeah, it's just money. If you got em, smoke em I say...

OP, I think you're justified in your happiness with your large spending on iPad technology. It's a bit on the flaunting side, though, with a "how cool is that?" feel. In this tight economy, that might grate a bit on some. But congrats anyway as it probably was not intended that way.

Ok Sister Olephant is gonna explain it all for you,
ATT iPad Unlimited Data Plan, --besides Steve Jobs hype/touting/pitching this plan a year ago as groundbreaking, I guess something did break, cause 4-5 weeks after that, it was gone as an option for new magical iPad buyers.

This is not like a common cell phone plan with a contract. This is a PREPAID monthly plan, that is tied not to an individual contract, as much as it is tied to a never ending automatic monthly prepayment agreement. Just keep the PRE-payments coming and the chip has been happy to flow to now.

It is fully and easily transferred from iPad to iPad and to iPad2. The latest twist is trasferring it to 3rd parties for their ATT iPads. The only rule you can't break is the PRE-PAYMENT. Miss a payment and the plan goes away like iPad2 3Gs to Slovenia.

ATT told me today, ah ha, that there is even a 7 day sweet grace period if your CC expires etc. That's generous considering. We're talking ATT here, but they did get fatter off the sweet Apple so maybe it's pay back.

I was PO'd when the new amazing plan was abruptly dropped a year ago, also, originally you could 'stop and go' the Unlimited plan just like the other iPad plans, but that was ended at the same time. No stopping now.

I have this plan now for 10 months, but I think it's time to generously share it with some poor capped-tive soul out there.
Overall an ATT&APPle failure, to 'sell' an Unlimited plan for this new 'Post PC.. data consumption device and then say, you bought it, now we take away.

Excellent pics (better than the pics on most case websites). Think I'll copy the back skin/gray smart cover look you did. Looks sweet.
