I thought message in iCloud would have a switch to turn off/on like in iOS. I do not see one on 10.13.5 but it does show a green stripe showing messages space used.
Make sure you have iCloud Keychain enabled.Odd. I've updated to 10.13.5, but when I go to Messages / Preferences / Accounts, I still don't have the checkbox for iCloud. Frustrating!
According to Rene Ritchie from iMore, that may just be a bug that has yet to be resolved.Funny they didn't enable this for Apple Watch too. I have more use for that... I do most of my texting from the watch these days.

Not required. I have my iCloud keychain unchecked and the option in messages/preferences is still there.Make sure you have iCloud Keychain enabled.
So my husband got the 10.13.5 update on both his iMac and MacBook.
I didn't. And when I try via About This Mac -> Software Update function, it tells me "No Updates Available."
My iPad and iPhone were updated days ago, and I'm anxious to try the new features but looks like I'm at the mercy of the gods that rule the updates.
Unless someone can tell me how to force it?

I'm not Lou but I also installed the combo update. How would we know if the firmware update was installed?Lou,
Did you install the firmware update?

Lou,
Did you install the firmware update?
BTW, my cMP is running much better on this update already. It feels quicker. I still have a strange video issue on shutdown but that's not really a problem, just an ugly shutdown.
Check the Boot ROM Version.

This does us no good. Yours is an older mac pro. The page hasn't been updated since 2015 and shows a different Boot Rom version than what I have. It also won't allow me to update using the listed boot rom since it requires 10.9.5 to install.Check the Boot ROM Version.

What's the strange video issue ?
Has anyone else got an opinion of performance following the upgrade ?

How can I tell whether the Boot ROM version listed there is the most recent one for my MacBook Pro?
My boot Rom version is MP61.0124.B00 and I am on MacOS 10.13.5Of course your bootrom version is different then mine, because that's different Mac. But that page should show your current bootrom version. It's changed now? Do you mind post how it looks like now? I have absolutely no idea it's changed for the newer Mac.
