A bagel at this time of night? That's almost as weird as olives in your beer.I just updated to 10.3 and it burned by bagel in the toaster.

4 numbers was the minimum then it changed to 6 numbers.
Are you using the non-number password option using letters and numbers? I don't use that so not familiar enough. Also, this could be a point of confusion for many reading this.
Umm, no. Not true at all. 4 has always been the minimum, at least since the 3gs.
On the other hand, you _should_ use 6 digits if you are afraid of sophisticated and well-financed hackers. Whatever security measures a hacker can get around, in the end they have to enter the correct passcode, and 6 digits makes that exactly 100 times harder. If you are afraid someone might steal your phone, then invest lots of money and two days of their time to unlock your phone, knowing they'd have to spend 6 months should make you feel better.6 is now the default, but isn't the minimum; you can still use 4 if you prefer.
You should have indeed.I should have stated I'm using the custom alphanumeric code. Always used a 3-letter and digit code, but was forced to go up to 4 or more.
That's wrong. My passcode was just '3' until this update made me make it longerUmm, no. Not true at all. 4 has always been the minimum, at least since the 3gs.

I used alpha numeric, so I could use letters, but interesting to see numbers working like that too. That's wrong. My passcode was just '3' until this update made me make it longer
What, no. Absolutely not. I've been using iOS since iPhone OS 1. The minimum has always been 4 digits/characters (once that became an option in iOS 9).
Bro, you're wrong. You can set a custom alphanumeric password and just type in numbers which brings only the keypad up. The password can be only 1 value which I set to 3.
Thats funny, because back when it launched in iOS 9 I tried using it to make a 3 digit code and I was prompted the minimum is 4 characters. So you may have had a freak glitch that allowed it. I tried it on 2 devices at the time.
It's not a glitch, I've done it since iOS 7 or 8. Go to your passcode settings > hit custom alphanumeric number, just type in 3, repeat to confirm code. When the phone is locked now it'll show a keypad and you hit 3 then ok and it'll unlock.
