Sorry for potentially stupid question...
I have had a quick browse of what's coming in this update, but why are you guys so keen for it to come out? What particular fix/feature are you looking forward to?

I'm looking forward to the new display drivers. The current ones for Nvidia GPUs are not that great.
Also, they are supposedly releasing time machine improvements as well, and TM could definitely use some help.
I get a Time Machine error about once every 5 backups. It gets really old after a while. "An error occurred while trying to copy files to the volume Time Machine". The message is something like that. Also, I too am looking forward to updated graphics drivers for Nvidia. I hope the horizontal tearing goes away!
what day and time does apple ususally update mac os?? i know apple iphone get updates on tuesday.
It's usually around 2pm Cupertino time and 5pm Eastern. I have found in the past that the new update will come out just before I have to leave work.
12:48 EST is when Macrumors reported 10.5.6.

OS X updates are like morphine. A few users have a legitimate need for it. Most are just junkies, and it's been a really long time since the last fix.
Did someone just say updates?! Think I can get in on that? All I need is just one hit, man, I swear, that's all I'll take.
Aside from points already made ^, we expect this to be the most polished Leopard release. It could be the last Leopard point release, it'd better be good. In reality 10.5.6 is quite good already. Many users probably won't notice any remarkable differences, yet here we are jonesing for it...
speaking of that, does that mean apple over promised again?? didn't they said something like june 2009 for snow leopard?
Frankly, they have an a lot of Airports to fix, including mine. Luckily, my internet has been working well for about 10 minutes. Oh wait, there is goes again. Damn WiFi!
This update is overdue. Get it right but get it done!
I understand that they have stuff to fix, but people whining about it isn't going to get it released any faster. Apple will release it when it's done, so just chillax.
