The iPad mini doesn't make sense anymore with the increasing sizes of the phones. Four iPad sizes is just goofy.
The screen on the mini is over twice the size of the screen on the iPhone Plus models. It's a substantially different experience.

And yet the operating system is identical…The screen on the mini is over twice the size of the screen on the iPhone Plus models. It's a substantially different experience.
I find it hard to upgrade from iPad Pro 1st gen. What would wow us to upgrade. People are starting to slow down upgrade pattern.
I bet you all the money in the world I don't.If you haven't ditched your Mac yet for an iPad, this will be the year that you do make the switch.

What Mini Pro rumors?I want to upgrade my iPad mini 3 to an iPad Pro. Hoping the rumors of a mini Pro are true. If not, I'll get the 10.5" when it comes out. March or May. It's all good. Just a couple months.
I have always felt it was foolish to cram all your product releases into the later half of the year. A consumer might baulk at buying both an iPhone and an iPad at the same time, but spread them apart (i.e.: iPad in the 1st half, iPhone in the second) and he won't feel the pinch as much.I don't think Apple intends to show off the 10.5" iPad Pro at the rumoured March event, it makes no sense to upstage the iPhone 8, so I think it's possible iPads will be announced in September alongside the iPhone 8. Also why only change the bezels and remove the home button on the 10.5" why not do it on the 12.9" as well? they are both that flagship models.

That is true, but will they really announce the new design of the 10.5" iPad Pro before the iPhone 8? when the design cues are the same, the home button and edge to edge display is also rumoured for the iPhone 8. It's possible that we could see the iPad Pro 12.9" with an update and the mini updated at the March event, but the 10.5" is kept until September. But then again i also think it's very un-Apple like to announce a new colour to the iPhone 7 (in this case red) part way through the year, so maybe Apple are planning a new strategy?
A new colour would be an excellent to help make the iPhone feel fresh and stabilise sales even when it is already midway through its refresh cycle. But then again i also think it's very un-Apple like to announce a new colour to the iPhone 7 (in this case red) part way through the year, so maybe Apple are planning a new strategy?
I admit this seems unlikely, but I am tired of the iPad always playing second fiddle to the iPhone (even as I acknowledge that Apple is justified in focusing most of its resources on their golden goose). That is true, but will they really announce the new design of the 10.5" iPad Pro before the iPhone 8? when the design cues are the same, the home button and edge to edge display is also rumoured for the iPhone 8.
iPad Pro the world's most powerful super computer.
Can you tell I'm excited?![]()
I really do not hope the 10.5 comes in september, if so I will have to wait again for a new ipad :/ I sold my old mini and I won't buy the old model know. It is the good old "waiting for skylake macbook pro" for the ipad all over again...

What do you expect an upgrade to be? It's a rectangular piece of multitouch glass. What would "sound" like an upgrade to you? A jetpack so you can fly with it?The 10.5 inch iPad Pro doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over the 9.7 inch, besides having an edge to edge screen and being less than an inch bigger.
Who gives a crap? I want to replace my 2011 quad core mac mini please.
