Hopefully the new Siri and Apple Intelligence features will be available from day 1 itself and not in April 2027. As for foldable, any specific software features will be announced only along with the device and don't think there will be any hint of it at WWDC.

Also I have zero interest in foldable iPhones. Fat when it is folded, too big when unfolded.

Me also. I just cannot find any reason to choose a foldable phone over a normal one. I like to be able to put a phone in my pocket, not in a bag because it's too big or thick to fit in a pocket.

Also can’t wait for new rainbow wallpapers and new emojis!

Understanding pronouns will be great, as that means it understands context. No longer having to repeat the name for every operation. Still, I hope we get multiple AI options. I'm impressed with both Gemini and Claude, while Apple AI is a bad joke so far

Fun exercise: Use "Image playground" and ask it to create a "test pyramid". Then go to Gemini and ask it to do the same - that's the state of Apple AI by example. It's junk

I’m expecting it to get delayed beyond iOS27 at this point. Maybe 27.2 or something. Apple has really dropped the ball on the software side.

Who would mind if operating systems would have a 2 year cycle?

Look how perfect Leopard and Snow Leopard were. I know a lot of people complained about Leopard and it was almost 20 years ago, but I never had an issue with Leopard.

Two hundred percent agree. Were Apple to spend more time fixing bugs over a two- or three-year span, rather than forcing out yearly releases that still have bugs, we would all be happier. Their drive for new, trendy, and often useless feature releases has driven Apple to make poor decisions about its OS software development.

The thing is, while Apple is catching top to what they promised last year, Anthropic, G and OpenAi are speeding ahead when iOS 27 comes out, they will have advanced beyond what Apple can deliver once again.
Would've loved a deeper integration of all three models into the iOS Framework instead of a closed solution. Yeah, privacy, but that would have given us some more flexibility and choice and the currently best models.

Apple has been left in the dust once again. But hey, maybe by IOS 45 Siri will be "smarter." But here is a $2,000 foldable phone to keep the sheep distracted with the shiny new toy while the software continues to be a hot mess.

Apple never promised a new Siri in 26.4; they said that a new Siri will be here in 2026. They have until Dec 31, 11:59 to produce the new Siri

Are you keeping a list? I turned it off as I don't need it, and likely never will. Others turned AI off as it was faulty and not worth the effort. The same as I did with Siri...she is faulty and ineffective.

Eventually, the OS's core will be AI, and you will not be able to turn it off. How far down the road that is, I will not even venture a guess.

One thing Siri is great for is a seemingly endless supply of Dad jokes. When I can’t sleep I ask Siri to tell me a joke. Then I groan 🤪

I agree with those who don’t care much about Siri features. I would appreciate it being smarter when I’m using CarPlay but that is about it. I personally hope Siri doesn’t do the pretend I’m your friend bit but they may have no choice but add that kind of garbage.
