Which users? I have a hard time believing it’s the same people. I’m more inclined to think it’s just the dynamic of lumping people who disagree with you together.
What's interesting is there already was a very basic AI-ish feature in iPhone's Photos app that allowed one to search for particular subject matter with multiple criteria. For example: red cars, bridges, people with dogs, planes, people with hats, bicycles, lakes, white ships, etc that works very well. As a photographer, that became very useful for me having around 30,000 photos in my iPhone Photos app.
We want both — fixes and features. We want fixes, not features.
This is completely false, and was entirely made up by the rumor mill. Apple never promised anything for 26.4.
We were supposed to get the Apple Intelligence version of Siri in iOS 26.4, but Apple is still having problems with development. Siri isn't yet operating as expected, and it's not ready to launch.
Me neither, since they are using Goofle.Wow an Update Full of privacy concerns. I don’t want any of the ai crap.
Why does the article in forum view end at this point. There are several features, including “Performance and Stability” that are in the main article but that are chopped off in this view. Seems like you have a bug of your own.Siri Design Update
With iOS 27, Apple could update Sir... Click here to read rest of article

Not to worry... many here said way back in early 2025 they would *immediately* turn off Apple's AI after it was downloaded on their devices.
And now the same people are complaining that it's not ready.
Why are so sure it's the "same people"? I'm one of those people who turned it off and will keep it off.
I don't care when or if it comes out, because it'll still be off.
I'll settle for efficiency, much less likely than the two mentioned aboveWe want both — fixes and features.
Just remembering the many comments from posters in early 2025 when general public awareness of AI was somewhat new, who said they'd immediately turn AI off as soon as Apple downloads it on their phone, in any story relating to Apple's AI effort.
You can turn off Liquid Glass. Just like you have been able to disable all the transparency since iOS 7. In Display settings, set Liquid Glass to Tinted. In Accessibility/Display & Text Size, turn on Reduce Transparency. Also turn off Motion in Accessibility. No more Liquid Glass. The improvements with the Photos app and managing your photos is worth dumping iOS 18.None of that makes me want to upgrade from 18.
If I can turn off all of liquid glass, I will update for security patches, otherwise I will just stay on 18.
That was AI. Apple called it Machine Learning back then. It used a different AI type thank the LLM that chatbots use but it was an AI. I like the feature and use it in Photos fairly frequently. I would never think to ask Siri for that as Siri couldn’t do anything with the photos once they were found.I remember back when for a short period of time Siri could search your photos. That’s what I want to come back, and it had nothing to do with artificial intelligence.
Imagine if Apple had relied on Google for things like web search or maps. That would have been crazy."Apple is partnering with Google and plans to use a custom AI model built in collaboration with Google's Gemini team for some of the new Siri features, including the Siri chatbot functionality that's coming."
Shades of Borders Books allowing Amazon to fulfill their book orders, and drive themselves out of existence. This is not going to end well for Apple...
Oh, okay. But I have many thousands of photos, so I would be happy if Siri just located the photos. Usually that’s all I need. I don’t often adjust them. I want Siri to be able to find them again. After she finds them, if I don’t like them as they are, I will edit them for myself. I’m not usually sending them on.That was AI. Apple called it Machine Learning back then. Are you searching with Siri or in Photos? I wasn't aware the Siri could search your photos library. That always seemed to just be a thing you do inside of the Photos app.Oh, okay. No, for a brief period of time you were able to tell Siri to find a certain picture either by what it was or by date. They even demonstrated it on one of the WWDC programs. And then suddenly it was gone. There was another feature that I Liked also, where you could add something to an existing note. Gone. Are you searching with Siri or in Photos?
