Again, Samsung already has this, just like they had Face ID first.
Nope.

Yep, they're not in the same league. Samsung's face recognition is a toy and even Samsung itself is reserving more crucial authentication scenarios to fingerprint or iris unlock.Agreed. Samsung had facial recognition before Apple had faceID, but both are different. FaceID doesn't work the same way.

LOL...It's already been on the news. I believe it was CNN. So, I doubt it's BS.
With all due respect, I can't take anyone seriously who just joined a mac forum last Sunday to talk about how great the note 8 is in everyone one of their posts, and has had no inquiry about anything mac related. It's already been on the news. I believe it was CNN. So, I doubt it's BS.

Nope, and why on earth would Apple make a phone like that. Wishful thinking on your part.
Apple and apologists could positive spin it as a 'family emergency access' feature.![]()
Don't worry about the response to that post. The OP is just jealous of apple and that his favorite company is a runner-up on a good day.We know that other companies will adopt the system (just like the "oops, we forgot the headphone jack"), so I wouldn't really be too driven in that regard.
I call total BS on this claim. You can edit a video to show anything you want.
There may be cases out there but that video established zero proof of anything. So who’s mind is already made up?Pleased to see that people are remaining open minded..
For something that's "1 in a million" we sure got to a million fast hahahah!
Face ID is just another gimmick like the Touch Bar. Try, discard, move on.

It's slightly more secure. It's harder to unlock someones iphone by force.Regardless if true or not, in practical real world usuage, Face ID is not more secure than Touch ID. Facts.

How so? I think its much easier. Thats why I dont like it.It's slightly more secure. It's harder to unlock someones iphone by force.

What if you don’t know if you’re looking at the phone or not. It works in the dark. You have much less control over your 1 face and someone else holding up the phone than your 10 fingers. All you have to do is not look at your phone and it won’t unlock. Obviously you’ll have to decide between personal safety or phone protection if we’re talking “by force”. But how many times have you been forced to use your fingerprint?
It requires attention to unlock. You can't force someone to stare at the camera just by force.Really?
You cant use "force" to bring the iPhone up to their face?

For example, you can unlock your girlfriends iPhone7 just because you are heavier and stronger, but if she got iPhone X, you'll need a knife or something like that.

[doublepost=1511444360][/doublepost]There is more: you can unlock your GF's iPhone 7 while she is asleep, but you can't do that with iPhone X
