And yet Apple Store reps say that Verizon 6s's are locked to Verizon, even full-price ones. I just don't see how that can be given the agreement with the FCC.
It can't be. The simplest explanation of the employees either not knowing any better or being misleading would apply.

What about it?

It was late at night, but I should have stated the correlation. The link seems to confirm what you were saying about Apple's employees not understanding the voluntary agreement between the FCC and the various carriers about unlocking.

You have to do a 2 year agreement and they only have Space Grey available. I love Costco but this offer isn't for me.

I think this is the way to go for me.... I've been debating it in my head all morning and I think the extra $125 in Costco cards are worth it. I wanted an unlocked phone but I can't beat that discount. I'll just get it unlocked after a few months.

Plus, am I wrong that they don't charge you tax for making payments on T -mobile vs buying it outright or am I wrong about this?

I just went through the process of ordering an iPhone for T-Mobile through this process, but once you're handed off to T-Mobile's web site, there's no confirmation that this is for the Costco deal. How can I be sure that Costco knows to send be the "Costco Membership Benefits"? (This is the accessory pack the $25 Costco card.) I see I have to send in a rebate form for the $100 card, but how do I get the other stuff?

i have verizon and unlimited data, I see that I can't just pay full price for verizon but I can for tmobile which should work. Any idea if I can somehow get the tmobile one without having to get service? I can do the no credit check option and pay full price but they want me to pay for a month of service which kinda ruins the deal for me. Thanks guys.

Despite Costco showing the full price option, if you look at the rebate form, it says you need to buy it with an EIP agreement.

Yep I'm in the same boat too. However when I click "continue" at the membership page to go to T-Mobile I was prompted with this message:

"
By clicking "Approve and proceed" you will now be transferred to T-Mobile's website. If you approve and proceed, T-Mobile will share your information (including your name, address, e-mail address, phone number, traffic and order data, device type, rate plan and features, and return and exchange details) with Wireless Advocates (Costco's designated agent) upon the completion of your transaction. Your customer information will be shared for purposes of Wireless Advocates' accounting and reporting of your T-Mobile transaction and to permit Wireless Advocates to provide you with customer service - including sending you your free Accessory Bundle Pack and Costco Cash Card. Please note the free Accessory Bundle Pack and Costco Cash Card will ship separately from the wireless device. For more information on how T-Mobile collects, uses, discloses, and stores customer information, please visit T-Mobile's privacy policy.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time, Costco cannot process orders to a PO Box address. If you receive the billing statement for your T-Mobile account at a PO Box address, you will have to purchase your device through T-Mobile directly.

Yeah, I guess I sort of glossed over that. But it would still be nice to get confirmation that Costco (or Wireless Advocates, actually) knows that I completed the order.

Yeah totally get it. Would be nice if they sent us some sort of e-mail acknowledgment or something. I sent in my rebate form today, will see how it goes.

Called my local Costco. Said I can get an unlocked Verizon 64gb 6s with $100 Costco card + battery charger that holds two charges. Think I'll drive over there at lunchtime tomorrow!

I just preordered the 6s+. Which confirmation receipts did you send? It says to send in:

Complete this certificate and mail along with a photocopy of your T-Mobile Pre-Order Confirmation Receipt and Wireless Agreement to:

Does that mean the receipt that you get when you confirm your order after you pay the down payment AND the EIP Agreement or do you need to send them something else confirming your wireless plan?

EIP (plans) only. Not possible to walk in and snag an unlocked T-Mob 6s and walk away with $100- voucher/savings.

Yep for sure. One could just place it on EIP then pay it off on your next bill.

I printed and mailed the T-Mobile order confirmation, the EIP agreement .PDF that was emailed to me and the rebate form filled out. Here's hoping all goes through. I did this for my iPhone 6 last year, but I did it all in-store and the cash card was like $25.

On a side note I did email the membershipwireless company suggesting that it would be helpful to text or email us to confirm receipt of our mailed submission and/or receipt of our actual order once T-Mobile lets them know it was processed.

For what it's worth I just got an order confirmation from Costco and someone replied to my email to them saying it takes a few days for them to get notified of the order.

"Thank you for ordering your device from T-Mobile. Estimated delivery for your device will be as indicated in your order confirmation and your device will be sent directly from T-Mobile."

It then went on to list the extras that will come with my order.

And also talked about the 90-day return policy. All seems to be in order here.

I got my confirmation, this morning, too! The order number is the same one that I got from T-Mobile over the phone, yesterday, and it works in the T-Mobile Order Status page:
