Having one search bar for everything really puts it over the top for me

I have never liked opera or safari, one of the first thing I installed was firefox and chrome, but I use chrome almost exclusively. I find it works best for smaller screens like my mbp 13. However at work I have a bigger screen and like Firefox.

chrome and opera are both good. I have some problem with firefox and in my opinion it isn't as good as chrome and opera. Opera, however, has problem with font size/ratio and it makes some pages funny.

i find chrome beutiful on my 27" iMac
any reason for your dislike of it on large screens?

Apple needs to come out with a big update to Safari.

It's a great browser but they need to make it look as simple as Google Chrome with the omni bar thing.

Also tab bar on top.

firefox+the adblock plus free add on.

I have actually gotten improved battery life with this over safari. Its also faster and gets rid of many of those annoying banner ads.

As a self admitted browser addict, I apreciate Apples efforts with Safari yet find it comes up short. A former Firefox loyalist, I now find nothing comes close to Google Chrome. The real key to Chromes superiority, is to take advantage of all the "little things" that are only discovered if one takes the time to learn it. The way it manages resources allows it be be very fast on a variety of computers. An especially flexible browser I've been using it as my default of choice in recent months. I highly suggest others give it a serious test, you may be nicely surprised.

Can you disable the icons next to the bookmarks in Chrome? If so, how?

Also, why does Chrome force my MBP to switch over to NVIDIA graphics?

These are the 2 things holding me back from switching to Chrome...

I did some real life and synthetic testing. Here is my ranking:

1. Chrome. Fastest BY FAR.
2. Opera.
3. Safari. Love top sites better than chrome, but slow.
4. Firefox 3.6x. Worst browser for OSX. Very slow and uses the most resources out of all the other browsers. STAY FAR AWAY.

I just use Safari. After seeing responses about Chrome though. I am thinking of downloading it now and giving it a try. What do you guys like so much about it?

Another vote for Chrome here, but that is only due to the great extensions, however, Safari 5 extensions are growing, so may switch to Safari soon.

if you are using a windows OS, use Google chrome it is really very fast.
OS X, use safari, but chrome is also fast on OS X

I just downloaded Chrome about 15 minutes ago, I like it a lot. It just replaced safari for a while :D

Try Safari and their ad-block add on.

Pages load really fast.

Will not use Chrome as I have grave concerns over my privacy and data regarding anything to do with Google.

Especially given what they have done in Europe recently with their "accidental" wireless data capture. I cannot believe they got away with it.

No fire fox! Its slow and bloated... it used to be all i used too, :(
I use Safari. They benchmarked it slightly faster then Chrome. I have Adblock and clicktoflash installed for an amazing browsing experience.

Chrome by far.

Chrome gives you the option to send or not your usage statistics to Google in the preferences. Disable it and you won't need to worry about that :)
