I use mainly use Safari because of the native bookmark syncing with iTunes. Firefox is my backup.

Chrome is great, the only thing preventing it from taking over my Safari right now is that 1Password integration isn't up to par yet.

Chrome keeps things nice and simple. Clean interface, one bar for URL and search, built-in flash player. Built-in bookmark sync is nice too. It also has the "speed dial" extension functionality built-in (where thumbnails of commonly used or selected sites show up in a new tab). I remember using extensions to do many of these things in Firefox a few years ago (although I haven't tried a recent version of FireFox in a while).

Whenever I'm using another browser on someone else's computer I accidentally type my search into the address bar, and get a nasty "no server found" error. Love the single search/URL bar in Chrome :)

The speed dial feature still needs work in Chrome but no biggie

Note that Chrome forces the nVidia graphics in the 15/17" MBPs and wastes battery, but I use gfxCardStatus to force Intel graphics so it's not an issue.

Back with FireFox after giving Chrome a try - just can't go without all the handy FF add-ons , such as FoxClocks, FoxyProxy, Exif, .........

firefox with the adblock plus, forecastfox, netcraft toolbar, and other extensions, with the grapple yummy theme (makes it look close to safari!).

I've tried Chrome, but I just keep finding myself missing Safari's top sites window.

I don't find Safari to be slow, but I do have clickToFlash installed as well. 1Password integration with Safari is great too.:)

It's been since mid-August since I last used Safari, but the reason why I stopped and made the switch to Chrome was that Chrome just did not crash on me as often as Safari did. I also like the fact that when a webpage on Chrome crashes, only the tab needs to be closed, not the entire program...

Chrome is my choice for the time being...

Kinda like chrome, but I'll stick to firefox for now, for the ability to disable flash plugin and only turn it on when I wanna watch starcraft2 replay via youtube...

Is it me being stupid or is it a built in thing for chrome, I can't seems to totally turn off flash. The flash block extension won't work, coz it will never work for webpages that have alternative to its flash content (eg: links, buttons etc). In firefox when you disable the flash plugin, webpages with flash alternative links will show it... but not when u use flash block.

Flash still suck up resource pretty badly on macs. Check the process when you are running chrome with flash, several Chrome instance spawn the moment webpages started using flash.

If anyone knows how to disable flash plugin in Chrome just like firefox, please tell me how to? keke

Firefox 4 , yeah its a little bloated but its a fair trade off for all of its great add-ons, plus I find it quite fast

I try other browsers every now and again but I keep coming back to Firefox.

Just downloaded and installed Chrome and AdBlock - works great, and will be giving this one a trial.

It also remembers the zoom level for each web site/page !!!!!

AdBlock for Chrome found here:
http://download.cnet.com/Adblock-for-Chrome/3000-11745_4-75000931.html

I'm curious why you haven't installed the Adblock extension?

For you guys using Chrome, try "Chrome Plus" or "SWIron". Gives the same functionality of chrome but without the spyware.

Chrome Plus has some nifty features added aswell.

Its totally up to preference. I'd suggest you just go with want fits you best. But to answer your question, in my opinion, I think Safari is best for my needs. Before I switched to a Mac, I used Firefox on Windows. It was my favorite browser by far..so when I switched over to a Mac, I naturally downloaded Firefox for my Mac. The main thing I didn't like about Firefox on the Mac within a year of using it was that it seemed bloated and it honestly looked ugly. To me it seemed like Safari loaded stuff a tad bit quicker. On the flip side, Firefox rarely crashed for me. Safari on the other hand crashes all the time. I also seem to have a lot of issues with flash when using safari. But the crashing isn't as bad as before, so I'll manage. Chrome is pretty good so I hear, but I'm not a huge fan of google. I love their search engine, but I hate how they have a finger in everything. Now since I'm not and at home with Safari, I'm too lazy to try anything else. As for right now though, I use Safari as my main browser. If I'm doing anything that is important, I usually open up Firefox too just to be safe.

I dont understand why everyone has a hard on for FireFox, I tried it before on Windows and it sucks everything down. Yes it has 100s of extensions but who needs all that crap. Chrome is the best browser hands down and if you want to block flash and ENABLE it per website, or by piece this is the extension you want - https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/mfidmkgnfgnkihnjeklbekckimkipmoe

Also, stay away from the Chrome beta until its done, it crashes alot and I only tried it to see the big buzz about HTML5 which sucks in my opinion.

And here is a working link for Chrome AdBlock - https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom

Does anyone have 2/3 finger swipe working for switching between tabs in Chrome. If I could do that I might be willing to switch from firefox.

Firefox or Safari. I know Firefox is bloated, but there are some features I just really like that far as I know Safari doesn't have (first of all I like Firefox remembering my tabs and the second one is kinda silly but I still like it, but the ability to use wallpapers on my firefox. Sadly, I'm pretty sure Firefox is annoying to load on my computer mostly cause of the saved tabs).

I use Safari though when I'm running on battery power (cause there is a huge difference in that) or when I'm somewhere the internet connection seems shakey (For whatever reason it seems I'm more lucky with the internet not randomly stopping working in places that I have a hard time keeping connection if I use Safari rather than Firefox. Don't ask me why, it just seems to work that way).

Honestly, if safari saved tabs, I might get over not having wallpapers and switch over to that (though I also enjoy a firefox plugin that lets me control my itunes with controllers on the bottom of firefox).

....how come I am just now finding out about Adblock...I just installed it on Chrome and quite enjoy not seeing many ads! Thanks :)

Not sure if this what you are looking for, but in Safari, when you launch, you can go to:
History->Reopen all windows from last session

I use this all the time when coming back from a reboot. Brings all my tabs back like they were before.

btw, everyone using safari should take a look at Glims extension from www.machangout.com, it adds all kinds of great enhancements including session manager to restore previous tabs. Best of all its free - really awesome for such nice piece of work!

Firefox 3.6 is #1 for me on all OS's. Customization is just awesome. But Chrome is not far behind.

wait until the new firefox comes out.
im running firefox 4.0 B7 on my PC and it is bitchin!!!
