11.2 post-update crash report - CVMServer

After I got some CVMServer crashes, I decided to do hardware test on my MBA. The result is that I might have problem on the storage device. I went to Apple store today and they did some more tests and they told me that they will replace logic board for me because something is wrong with it. Thank god , it’s still under warranty or I have to pay 700 CAD for that.

just updated to 11.3 and so far Im not seeing crash reports with my JetBrains apps - looks like they did something to address this issue (no JetBrains update today that could've fixed this)

Yep, on 11.3 I don't see this messages when starting Firefox anymore. It's not the Firefox 88 update, because I already updated some days ago. So seems Apple fixed it for at least some variants.

I’ve been getting them almost daily.

Updating to 11.3 now. Hopefully it fixes the issue

Update: I'm updating my previous post, which I now believe is inaccurate.

We're still having the same cvmserver crashes on the M1 Macbook Air even after removing some malware. It seems to only happen when connected to an external monitor via HDMI using a dock or adapter. We tried two different dock/adapters. The second was Apple's own adapter. The crashes nevertheless continued.

It has now been about 3 weeks since we've connected to the monitor and we haven't had any more crashes, so I believe there's a correlation. We have no solution except to never connect the external monitor.
