click on the link and then scroll down to where it says continue reading. there is a video showing how it works.
Prices start at $69 U.S.

Same price as the apple leather but gorgeous. I will be ordering tomorrow.
I figure with a black leather skin on back and that on top it will look pretty good.

That is nice! I think I want one.

One of these will go nicely with my Woodee headphones.

It doesn't have a hinge like the smart cover which seems like a potential problem. The apple smart cover already seems to slide around (causing unintended unlocking), I'm guessing this miniot cover would just slide off if you're not careful.

Not a fan of front-only covers at all. Metal is much more prone to scratches than glass, that's a fact. If spending this kinda money on a front-only cover, then might as well spend a little bit more and get a full case. As for me, it's either fully naked or fully cased.

Beautiful design though, no doubt.

watch the video.
It is very stable.

I watched the video and, while it seemed stable when he was holding it and shaking it about, he had at least one hand(thumb, specifically) on the cover the whole time.

I love the product - the look and quality seem spot-on - but I won't buy it sight-unseen. I want to see one in person to make sure it locks in place firmly without a hinge.

Also, how it's used as a stand was demonstrated but...what the heck do you do with the cover when you're actually holding the iPad? Is it supposed to cling to the back of the iPad? Im not convinced that it could.

I have the same questions.
Hopefully they respond to an email I sent them about this.
maybe there will be more info on their site tomorrow when they go on sale

Excellent! If you get a good response, could you please post it here? I for one would be interested to see what they have to say.

Once I realized that my old cases fit the iPad 2, I regretted the cover. I have no real use for it now except to cover the screen when it's naked in the Luxa stand and the sun hits it. $70 sunblock. :D

I'm going to keep my iPad 1 cases and wait to see if there's a must-have iPad 2 Vaja later, or if the iPad 3 is really coming out this fall.

I too noticed he was holding it the entire time in the video. He also conspicuously did zero typing on it. Still, me want.

SmartCover just got outsmarted!!!

Question is, is this the right style to protect the iPad?

Really what makes you think there will be a cherry one? I thought they would all be light wood like in the pics and video.

In the video he says that's the cherry cover. It's natural cherry wood, which starts out light and ages dark over time. Also the cover is available in walnut, smoked oak, padouk, mahogany, and cherry.

FYI -- speaking of vaja... They just rolled out there ipad 2 case.. The libretto..

If only they sold it in the apple store so I could use my store credit!

I think it needs to be delivered to someone to review first though.
