:) I used 3M Super 77 Multipurpose Spray Adhesive. It's a spray adhesive, so you have to be careful not to spray on your Miniot cover. I used blue painter's tape and some papers to protect my case.

Not a fan of front-only covers at all. Metal is much more prone to scratches than glass, that's a fact. If spending this kinda money on a front-only cover, then might as well spend a little bit more and get a full case. As for me, it's either fully naked or fully cased.

Beautiful design though, no doubt.

That is kind of how I feel.

I guess the ideal adhesive is one that gives you a minute or so to make sure the alignment is perfect before it grabs hold. Anyone have any ideas for that?

Hello all,

After having the cover for a few weeks now, I have run into a problem. I originally was concerned that the Miniot cover held the iPad in a position that was too vertical and conducive to tipping over. I had hoped the wood would acclimate and the angle would soften.

It apparently did, but too much - I've had the iPad fall off the table three or four times now in the middle of the night over the past few days. I've tried rearranging the position of the iPad, but for whatever reason, it just won't stay up. I'm going to look into it a bit more, but wanted to give everyone a heads up. Miniot might not be out of the woods yet.

Hi, have you had any luck sorting out this problem? Or hve you contacted Miniot regarding this? Such a pity it won't hold the iPad up safely...

Just arrived via FedEx today, about a week earlier than expected too. Maybe I'm just playing devil's advocate here, or maybe I just got lucky with a really really good cover, but I LOVE it.....
.....
Best of luck to everyone else waiting for one!

Hi your cover does look beautiful... What wood type is it?

Same problem with my cover. It arrived less than two weeks ago, and at that time stood almost too vertical when in horizontal mode. Now it cannot help but tip back and fall each time I try to use it (due, it seems, to the inner lining having stretched). Pretty frustrating.

Have you approached Miniot for comment, or about a replacement?

Ref #255 and #258 above:

Real pity that this beautiful cover is still having issues. Having solved the weak magnets problem, Miniot must now address this issue, probably by using a micro fibre material that is more dimensionally stable. I very much want to order one but will wait for this problem to be addressed. Any luck with fixing it yet?

Ive been trying it on different surfaces and I havent had the problem on completely smooth surfaces like glass (yet). My wood desk with a little bit of a grain, it has fallen over 3 times.

I have not contacted Miniot as I believe throuh a series of misques I received the cover for free and therefore I cant complain. However, when I gt some time, Im going to try to figure out how o address he problem. I think the best thing would be if I could route out the groove tht the iPad sits in another mm so it would be less likely to slip out, but I dont have access to woodworking tools.

Yes, making the groove deeper could well solve the problem; in fact Miniot should incorporate that mod in future production in order to keep the iPad more safe and stable. Maybe you or someone else here who owns the cover could suggest that to Miniot. I'm sure they would appreciate constructive feedback.
