Nothing revolutionary in iOS5. Not even evolutionary. This is all the same rehashed stuff that their competitors offered for 1+ years.

Just my take, but i feel iOS5 is completely underwhelming

What revolutionary features were you looking forward to? Honest question.

Doesn't matter if they're playing catch up to me. As long as I get the features. Now I don't have to switch to andriod

I'm considering moving to droid :)

The shine is wearing off apple for me used to be a big fan but today is just been awful!

Htc and samsung are way more forward by not getting an iPhone 5 out the door today it was a huge mistake!!!

Yep nothing major at all!!...im due to upgrade all my 27 iphone4's in a couple of weeks, sorry apple nothing there to keep me,a few of my employees are using Android phones as their own personal phones as well as there company iphones,so i'll be having a word to find the best android model i think...very very underwhelmed, that was a load of overhyped rubbish im afraid!

What were people expecting?

iOS is fine for me, the updates will make it nicer. Sure, there is always room for improvements, but it seems people always expect a 'be-all-end-all' type update^^

What revolutionary features is Android pushing out?

They are still revising Honeycomb (3.x), but the features it added were resizable widgets, limited USB host for keyboards/mice/game controllers, enhanced Wifi profile settings.

They haven't disclosed what Ice-Cream will have (4.x?)... but Android has always offered all of the cloud stuff and cross-device messaging that apple is including.

The Air drop feature is something that Google doesn't currently offer.

Android? You mean the operating system that still has stability issues, viruses, and crashes every other app?

Apple may have some similar UI features, but at least I can trust that Apple's OS is stable.

stable? then why do my apps sometime fail to even load or just crash out of the blue? This has been an issue on every iphone/ipod touch I have had...

i think people were expecting an updated Maps overhaul. lets be real here, 'Maps' on your iPhone is not a navigation app. its very limited in features, compared to Google's Maps/Navigation app. (in Android, Maps/Navigation is one single app).

the implementation of notifications is still subpar compared to that of Android, but I am going to wait until i get a hands on to really see how effective/ineffective it is.

Android has had Widgets since Day one, It had free syncing of Calender and contacts and instant email. It had its great notification scheme since day one and It has had lock screen info for a while. This adds really no new features to the platform. I think apple is losing their spark.
