It's funny.

If the reverse were true, say the newest version of Android was just "catching up" to Apple, 90% of the people here would be yammering on about how Google can't come up with their own ideas, stealing from iOS, etc.

Personally (and as someone stated above), since I'm already ingrained in the iOS ecosystem, I thought today's update was "enough" to keep me there. I was hoping for more, but anything they didn't include wasn't really a dealbreaker anyway.

Are you aware of what open source is and how it pertains to Google?

Google may innovate but precious few of their finished products can be called completely their own in the same manner apple can.

I thank apple for swallowing their pride and doing what was best for me the user instead of worrying whether they are called "copycats" by the 8th grade audio-visual club :D

Biggest problem of that open source is manufacturers such as samsung, lg etc get to use it and implement it in such a horrible fashion that it turns you off from android completely.

I had less issues with HTC's sense based phones than the crappy samsung plastics running iOS clone UIs.

I'm wondering how long it would take before you're punched in the face for using the word "swag"....

Whats wrong with that? Justin Beiber uses that word all the time :D I doubt Bobby is much older than Beiber...if he is at all.

As for this thread...i had an iPhone, liked it a lot. Got a Vibrant for another reason and love it. Only issue is battery life and that is all. Most likely wont be going back to an iPhone but i can never say never.
You just never know what will happen. Lets just say it wont happen anytime soon.

I think you don't understand what you are talking about the people you claiming as fandroids are comming from. They are pissed off at all the unnecessary hate. If android doesn't work for you then leave it at that. I personally prefer.brunnettes does that mean I have to tell every blond I meet they are filthy disgusting trash? No do you have to hate android no. I own an android phone but I do not hate iOS as a result.

So far, I agree that iOS 5 BETA really catches up with Android : it crashes, has bugs, has a poor battery life, has some App compatibility problems... Everything Android offers since the beginning :D

This made me laugh.
