Apparently the installers have gotten more advanced and a clean install is not required by apple. It thinks it is an organizational thing but it's up to you. I'm not against either. have fun with lion when it gets released.

I will probably just upgrade. I already have the GM installed though so I am wondering what will happen once I actually purchase Lion. I assume if the build is the same I won't have to actually do anything at all. Either way I will still purchase and support the Dev-Team. If $29.99 is going to break me I shouldn't have spent the money I did on a MBA and 27" iMac.

I am so surprised. You must be a top person. I an trying to hold back buying a dev account just for lion. Hi 5 for supporting the devs![]()

Well I didn't purchase a Dev account for Lion. I don't have that much money to spend on something I wouldn't use it for it's intended purposes. I am not a Developer but support their hard work. The only build I install of Lion was a GM so I could do my own testing with various 3rd Party Apps I already have to let others know what I find works and doesn't work.
I have purchased Dev Accounts for iOS in the past though. I just don't have the time for Software Building.

Hoped to make that on this weekend as we had a bank day in Japan but need to wait a bit longer now.

talmy said:I've got it already (developer) but won't be upgrading any system because there are a couple of critical programs that aren't compatible yet. I've also got a mini with Snow Leopard Server that I won't be upgrading at all because SLS works fine and Lion Server is a downgrade.
