Just switched from Xs Max. THANK YOU T-MOBILE for the $750... Made it a no brainer!!! So glad I did!!!
I agree that the current trade-in deals make upgrading very tempting. Which is what they want! My wife and I both have Xs Max iPhones and plan to hold on to them for another year / product cycle. Hopefully we won't be sorry!

You're a very strong man 😁. Do what serves you best.

I'm almost certain next year's deals won't be nearly as good... This year was to get 5G in as many hands as possible to accelerate Spectrum redeployment

Well look at it this way. Assuming you can hold out for the next device, if the 13 or whatever they'll call it doesn't have what you're looking for, the 12's should still be available. I used to upgrade every 2 years in the earlier years of iPhone but held on to my 8+ for 3 years. 3-4 years in iPhone is the new every 2 year upgrade cycle. Easily could have continued to use the 8+ but there were so many advancements in technology with the 12's. The modem in of itself is a huge upgrade for me and may very well be the most worthwhile and useful benefit on a day to day basis of having upgraded this year. That's not to take anything away from the camera, large screen or A14 Bionic chip. Although I have always gone with black or space gray phones in the past, I was considering Silver/white this year...until they released Pacific Blue.

5G's benefits won't be felt for years until the networks are built out here in the States.

Go for the max.
I ordered the 12 pro thinking that will be big enough for me coming from SE 1st generation. Then after waiting for a week, I canceled the order after checking out the pro max in store. Now I'm home waiting for my pro max to arrive 12/10/2020. My problem now is choosing a case for the gold pro max. Would love leather, not none of the colors really go well with gold.

So I might go for the silicon case in plum. Gold and plum fit nicely.

Happy shopping!
I have the same...Apple’s saddle brown looks really nice!

I got my 12 Pro Max today. I also have a 12 mini with my main phone number in it as my communication device.

I had a hard time oddly enough with the regular 12 Pro. The weight distribution strained my hand. I tried my husband’s Pro Max and noticed it was easier for me to hold. So I ordered the Max and I have not been disappointed. It just works out. And I love watching movies on it

However I haven’t tried to carry it around or pocket it. That’s what the mini is for.

What remains to be seen is if I can adjust to the pwm flicker. Of all the 12’s I’ve tried, the Max is the easiest on the eyes. But that doesn’t mean I will be able to use it long term. I’ll have to evaluate that over the next few days.

The cameras are fantastic but I am seeing a lot of little lens flares from my Christmas lights. But I’m seeing that on my Samsung and other iPhones, too.

So the mini is your everyday iPhone and the 12 Pro Max is your media watching device? I use an iPad for that sort of thing which is even better again IMO.

I love the size, I even prefer it to hold than my 11PM. I’ll grant you the wife seems to think my hands belong on a giant, just because my pinkie is much bigger than any of her fingers, but I am 6’ 3, I tower above her.
I can wrap my fingers around the phone and touch my thumb and fingers together, but that doesn’t seem unusual to me.

Either way, I love it. I think I’d still love it if I had smaller hands, I might need to use both of them, but I’d still love it :D

Yeah pretty much, though I’m also using the camera on the Max. I have my husband’s old hand me down iPad Pro, not sure which model it is but it’s at least 3 years old and I do some art work on it sometimes, but I find it too big to deal with. Though I’m going to use it as a screen for exercise videos when Apple starts its service.

I have an iPad mini I use sometimes but also find that too big. I’m a small person.

I have big hands - had all of the Plus models and the XS Max, no issues. The 12 Pro Max is the first model I can't use without two hands comfortably, either for reaching across the screen or texting one handed. The phone is otherwise stunning, but I don't know if I can keep it right now after having it just over a week. It just seems a little bit too big.

Hi, just got My 12 pro max.. And holy Mother of huge god this is HUGE. Haha. I am really in chok. It is and it feels huge. Like an mini iPad..

What do you other say, Who got it in hands.
Maybe, you have small hands. You know what they say about men with small hands.

I’m in the same boat! It’s not much bigger on paper but in practice it’s a considerable difference. I’ve upgraded to every new iPhone since iPhone 4, including a 7 Plus, XS Max, and 11 Pro Max, and this is the first time I’m having second thoughts. My 11 PM just feels so much nicer to hold and use. Hmmmmm.
The Apple leather cases feel awesome on the 12 pro max. That is all I’m using on mine most of the time. Otterbox commuter when I’m at work. The 12 pro max should not feel heavy, because it isn’t. I think the 11 pro max was heavier. Besides, the 12 pro max was designed for photographers and videographers. If you aren’t one of those, you all need to get the 12 pro. It has the same cameras as the 11 pro max but perform better because of the software and A14 bionic chip. If you need a larger screen, why not carry the iPad mini or one of the 11” models?. I see lots of people buying the 12 pro max and the cameras just go to waste because they aren’t familiar with photography or videography.

realistically anyone can buy one, own one because of the larger screen. I guess I need to teach an iPhone photography class so the cameras will get some good use...

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

A lot of people who enjoy photography don’t buy the 12 Pro Max or even the 12 Pro. Don’t assume the cameras aren’t good enough across the range because that is downright incorrect.

Maybe people who aren't professional photographers or videographers like to dabble? Maybe a new phone with those capabilities would be an incentive to learn? Maybe they want the battery life the 12PM has? Maybe they like the larger display? Maybe they're gamers who want a larger screen?

I've seen some of your photos and can't deny that you are good with the camera, much better so than your manners. Unless you're paying for my phone, I'll make my own decisions. Thanks.
