The Pro Max is obviously the biggest/heaviest iphone ever, but it does feel better in my pocket. They're kind of deep so my old 11 Pro would slide around very easily. Not the case with this beast.

I did finally get 5G in my area and ran 1 test. 55 down/7 up. LTE is usually around 150/15.

Huh?

Mine fits... it's close but it fits.
1) Whose brand mat do you have?
2) Do you have a case on your phone?

I've got the Model 3 TapTes charging mat and the Apple leather case. Definitely doesn't fit at all. I think I got it to fit by shoving it in there a bit, but even then it wasn't charging and I'd rather not scuff up my case by trying to "make it fit".

Probably going to buy the TapTes mat without the "ridge" that goes down all the way in the middle, and I'll have to charge it horizontally.

Been fighting with att about this since now all my phones data connections are awful. Less than 2mbps down and 0.55mbps uploads. They refuse to address this.

I have the Pitaka Air case on my PM love it! so minimal, to be its manageable, I had an apple leather case on and it seemed so bulky :(
Yeah I’m returning my Pitaka case. I love how slim it is. Adds nice grip. But the exposed areas aren't working for me. I don't like how the buttons feel (exposed) with the case surrounding it. Will use a silicone case instead.

Nomad. And I have a Spigen clear case.

I bought my 13 max knowing it was big, heavy, and square. I’m fine with it because I want the screen and battery life. It also fits into my lifestyle of using my Apple Watch to keep me from needing to check my phone all the time plus using my MacBook for bigger task I use my phone to consume content and play games. That’s why battery and screen size for me. That being said. It’s a big heavy square phone and you feel it. I get pinky fatigue when holding it and have to change it around. You feel it in your pocket. Square is not a optimal shape for holding something. There is nothing produced that is meant to be ergonomically correct that is squared. Balls, handles, steering wheels, tools, sports equipment. Apple chose fashion over function on this device and it shows. I do love my phone and the flat screen. If I used an iPad, I would be better off with the mini.
Wow. We’re all just getting used to the 12 and you’ve already got the 13!

‘mazing!;)

I got the 12 Pro in blue 2 1/2 weeks ago thinking that’ll do me. Went to an Apple Store in Perth on weekend just gone to grab a leather case for it. They didn’t have one in Baltic blue (?) so didn’t get one. But whilst there saw the 12 pro Max. Now I’m torn. Lots of screen real estate obviously. Really REALLY liked it. Thinking, thinking, thinking. Can get most of what I spent on the Pro back (drop about $200) and only costs aud$150 to go Max. Thinking, thinking, thinking...

It looks beautiful but it’s pretty big. Coming from anXS Max and this is even bigger.

I will be returning through, not because of size as I got used to it in a day, but in general use it’s really not worth shelling out almost $1200 with tax.

will wait until next year.
When it’ll likely be $1300 with tax. More worth it next year then, why?

12 pro max is beautiful but I wonder how heavy it will be with a case. You can't even get a defender case or something g rugged since the phone already pretty the over the 11 pro max.

Gotta hit the gym lol.

I also have the same TapTes charger and mine barely fits but I have a slim clear case on mine

The flat edges intensify the size of the iPhone 12 pro Max. While it’s a solid iphone
Apple could have done better than going back to the iPhone 5 design. We never see cars going back to old designs so why should iPhones

You’ll find curves and flat edges will always rotate in terms of design. Cars are always curved due to aerodynamics so it’s a case of restyling for aesthetics in that field, whereas on phones it’s purely for aesthetics. We are quite limited with phones by comparison though due to their size and function. I’m sure we’ll see curved edges come back in the future s neither really date. I think the 12 Pro Max would likely be cumbersome in either form.

Got my PB Pro Max on Saturday but i have been using it for past 48 hours now. Coming from Iphone 8 i knew PM would be heavy. Before getting it i had tried in the store i knew it would take time for me to adjust to size and weight of it. I have fairly large hands but having used I8 for more than 2 years had gotten used to that. My consideration was the battery more than other things and after reading so many reviews and comments online i had a feeling the smaller Pro wont cut it for me and then i would regret it. I rather regret having the bigger phone than something whose battery may not last me the distance. Where i am based we cant return bought stuff and though i have bought directly from Apple i still cant return them. Good thing i got with AC so i can go for eligible upgrade program next year.

Using without case PM definitely wobbles on table while using it in landscape. Have ordered few cases and hopefully this resolves it. So far enjoying the device and battery has been good till now.

Edit: So i have received my unbranded Clear Case and it definitely solves the wobble issue. As the case is 30g now my total weight of the device with case is 260g. It has definitely added to the weight and i do feel it but at the same time i feel more assured holding the phone now.

Go for the max.
I ordered the 12 pro thinking that will be big enough for me coming from SE 1st generation. Then after waiting for a week, I canceled the order after checking out the pro max in store. Now I'm home waiting for my pro max to arrive 12/10/2020. My problem now is choosing a case for the gold pro max. Would love leather, not none of the colors really go well with gold.

So I might go for the silicon case in plum. Gold and plum fit nicely.

Happy shopping!

There are some good comments in this thread regarding cases. Personally of all the cases I have tried--and I've tried quite a few, none of them feels better in hand than silicone. Plum would look fantastic. Being biased, Deep Navy would go quite well with it also. Granted Apple's website never really displays colors all that well from my experience but if you check out the silicone cases you can click through and see how the case color pairs with the colors of the phones. Pick a good one!

How does the silicone case feel, is it slippery like the watch bands or more of a sticky silicone? I want to check them out but can’t get my hands on one to feel it around here!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Not slippery at all, and still leaves the phone feeling like an Apple device, but protected.

This is EASILY THE BEST PHONE CASE combination I've ever owned hands down!!!

I'm one happy giddy owner over here 😆

Not to mention Orange and Blue are my favorite colors 🤯

The camera continues to blow my mind. Worth the pain on the pinky from time to time

Went from a 12 Pro to a Pro Max and back to a Pro

I first purchased a 12 pro and was very satisfied with it. However, I’ve never used a max sized phone before and was really curious about it, especially when people spoke about the battery life.

I couldn’t help but return my pro for the pro max. The battery life is indeed insane. I charged it to 100% on Tuesday at 330pm and on Wednesday at 11am, I still had 50%. However, the weight and size of the phone was too uncomfortable for me. I hated not being able to use my phone with one hand comfortably and constantly having to use two hands.

I’m a male with decent sized hands. From the tip of my pinky to my wrist, it’s about 6 inches.

I made the call to switch back to the pro today. Will be keeping the pro now.

I would advice anyone with this dilemma to really try it out in person and see how it goes. Using a pop socket would definitely help but I hate the sight of those stuff.

My BlackBerry 8520 fits easily into my tight jeans front pocket, so easily that I often forget that it's even there.

For me a phone like a 12 Max Pro Gargantuan is laughable. I know I'm going to involuntarily LOL the first time I see someone in public trying to pretend that thing "fits" into a jeans pocket.

At least this new phone is good for a laugh.

Anyone using 12 Pro Max "case-less"? Would it scratch/scuff the camera in the long run as the camera is protruding? With case on, the border becomes thicker and I found no case is really nice as there is a sense of less border.

Hi, just got My 12 pro max.. And holy Mother of huge god this is HUGE. Haha. I am really in chok. It is and it feels huge. Like an mini iPad..

What do you other say, Who got it in hands.
LOL!

I was in an Apple store a couple of days ago to pick up a new iPad, they had the 12 Pro Max so I held it next to my iPhone Xs Max to compare. The size is noticeably larger, but what really impressed me was the absolutely huge camera arrangement on the back of the phone. Makes my Xs Max camera look absolutely puny! Really impressive . . .
