Not exactly. Problems caused by hardware can be corrected with software so anyone saying ”software” or ”hardware” is still just guessing. :)
A lot of hardware imperfections can be fixed via software we will never know. What we do know is a lot of people wasted a lot of time swapping their phones for nothing. Im 100 percent certain this was a software bug and im glad its fixed.

Simple logic would have solved that silliness of constantly swapping out phones (which many people lack btw). The only hardware problem could have been maybe a bad digitizer. However given the fact that this ONLY happened when swiping up to close or potentially other areas of the OS when scrolling around points 100 percent to software. And as you states there are TONS of hardware issues that can be fixed by software (or even firmware). Look at the green tint issue, lots are saying it's fixed for them in the latest beta.

It's a software issue 100% noticing slight stutters here and there on my iPad Pro 2018 model, never had this problem before, something has gone wrong recently in iOS 14, good to hear this beta fixes the issue.

off topic but is the iPhone 12 Pro boot up flicker where Apple logo goes really bright, then off and returns with the Apple logo fixed?

what about micro stutter when opening apps? it's very small stutter. the other one, do you have stutter when you zoom in a photo in Photo app?

I've been reporting this issue since iOS 12. as you said, lot's of users don't complained about it.

this micro stutter is not specific for opening apps. sometimes there are micro stuttering when swiping (like photos) and scrolling in apps.

Been on this new beta since Friday and haven’t seen any of the app closing stutters I did before.

Don’t know what to believe anymore, one minute people are saying it’s fixed, next minute stutter is still there. 🤷‍♂️😂

Apparently so, some people are still saying they’re seeing some stutter from time to time. 🤷‍♂️
I haven’t seen anyone else saying there’s stutter on 14.5 apart from the Zollotech video (which was on the camera app, which has always been a bit stuttery for me since forever).
