Japanese site Mac Otakara briefly reports that Apple is planning to introduce an entirely new Mac product to its lineup. According to a rough translation provided with the original Japanese version, the product is said to be "absolutely different from current products" and potentially set for introduction by the end of the year.
According to anonymous source in Asian supplier company, Apple seems to be preparing project to release new Mac line-up which is absolutely different from current products until end of this year.

Though this source does not told in detail, this new Mac line seems to be clearly different products from current ones, so new product name could be given.
Mac Otakara has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumors. The site made news last December with its rendering of the iPad 2 case showing off a new, larger speaker that did in fact appear in the shipping version a few months later. The site also correctly reported on the iPad 2 media event and launch timeframe and introduction of Final Cut Pro X and third-party Thunderbolt devices. The site was incorrect, however, in its claim of Toggle DDR 2.0 memory for the MacBook Air.

This could be the new Macbook Pro's without an Optical Drive, as well as the new Mac Pro's getting redesigned as well.

If Apple were going to integrate iOS into any product, it would be the Macbook Air first.

Entirely new Mac product?

Well, it'll either have to be a laptop, desktop or tablet, or a combination of either: most likely laptop and tablet.

So when Steve said, what would happen if a Mac and an iPad hooked up, he was referring to the "mistake child"..

This Story seems irrelevant without a time frame.

Anyone can say that Apple is going to introduce a new Mac Line in the Future.

This to me is only news if they plan on doing it soon.

It's probably some sort of touchscreen Mac running Lion.

It would have to be some new form factor then. At the Back to the Mac event in 2010, Steve Jobs said:
We’ve done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn’t work. Touch surfaces don’t want to be vertical.

It gives great demo but after a short period of time, you start to fatigue and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. It doesn’t work, it’s ergonomically terrible.

I'm guessing touch screen, with no optical media. Possibly no hard disk either, just solid state RAM.

Any current Mac will have to be totally redesigned to make a touch screen computer to be usable - currently most people would get arm fatigue very quickly.

Any Mac replacement better not require jail breaking ; even Apple aren't that dumb.

Why not just a 'Mac'?

Budget version of the Mac Pro Desktop, with easily upgradeable internals, to be hooked up to any external screen

Would make a huge difference to market share.

I disagree with this. If Apple were to mesh OS X and iOS together, the iPad would be the "light mobile" device. I'd go on a limb and say that the iMac would be the first Mac to make the transition to a iOSX system.
