128gb over 64gb

If your on next at&t plan there's no reason to get the 64gb over the 128gb

One is $28 a month and the other $31 for the 24 plan

This is the one of the reasons I chose 128gb. The other is my 32gb 5S doesn't have enough space for movies anymore. I like having a few on the phone for those times when I'm in the mountains and have no wifi or cell service.

Never filled my 64GB 6 Plus so I went with 64GB again. I don't leave things on my phone; I transfer photos and videos onto my Mac regularly to avoid losing them if something happened to my iPhone.
I also don't have music on my phone as I use streaming services.

I ordered a 64gb but I am tempted to exchange it for 128gb. Right now I am sitting at 13GB free on my current 64gb phone, but I am thinking that I might be taking a lot of live photos which might eat up the memory.

My iTunes music alone is 135GB - I choose 128k for my transfer so it all should fit.

My Photos are about 60GB - Apple resizes them upon import into the iPhone so the storage shouldn't be that big so it should fit.

Probably got 12GB's worth of apps.

I take lots of photos. I'll predict even more now that the camera is improved on the front and back.

4k Video.

For my needs, 128GB is the only option.

Wow Apple needs to make a 260gb for u lol

I have a 6 Plus 128 and I feel that even that is sometimes not enough although the closest ive been to full is 10GB. I think its going to vary from person to person and their usage. I say if you can swing it go for it. Plus the 128 models seem to have a decent resell value over their smaller counterparts.

Ordered a 64gb Plus that arrives tomorrow, but now seriously considering 128gb. What do you think the chances are of exchanging tomorrow or over the weekend at the Apple Store? Do they typically have stock specifically for exchanges?

You don't need to use 128 to make it worthwhile. You just need to use 64 and not be faced with managing space. Only you can answer the response to your own usage.

Good luck doing this on launch day.

I have a 64GB 6 right now. I have more than enough space with it, but I go to a ton of concerts and record a lot of video, take a lot of pictures, and have a car I can use bluetooth audio with so I wanted to grab the 128 while I could. I use EDGE so it was only like $4 more a month. Was really just a "Why not?" thing.

I don't know how that would work because I'm considering the same thing although I feel like it's going to be a pain

See that's how I'm feeling now!! It's like "why not" but I feel like it's too late it's going to be a pain trying to exchange definitely with the RG

Even on the 5 and 6, I went for the bigger capacity. As Andy Inhatko wisely recommends, get as much as you can get in a machine that you can not upgrade later, sort of "better safe than sorry" for the smartphone era.

I'll jump to 128gb after testing 4K and seeing if I'll actually use it. So right now 64gb and if i use 4K a lot, next year I'll get 128gb for the 7

Yeah, I went with the 64GB starting with the iPhone 4S.

It's better to have more than you need than less.

I have the 128GB 6 Plus and currently still have 100GB of free storage left. This year I again went with the 128GB 6S Plus. As long as I can afford the larger storage, I'll continue to get the most Apple has to offer. This year I'll be taking a lot more videos, so I know I'll be using a lot more storage than I did last year.

If you are sure you need the space, the 128gb is worth it. If not, it's probably better to go with the 64gb. Somebody said the 128gb has the best resale value, which actually isn't true. If you look, say on a trade in site like Gazelle, you lose almost all your value for the extra space. They will pay you $370 for a flawless 64gb model, and only $375 for a flawless 128gb. Sure, you can try to find somebody private that really wants the extra space, but this shows that the market does NOT value the extra space on average.

So again, if you are trading in your phone every year like I do, you lose this extra $100 in value quickly. But again, if you are going to use it then sure go for it. Apple also clearly makes the most money on each higher model you buy as this memory costs them close to nothing. Hence why they keep the lowest model at 16gb, they want everybody to at least buy the middle option.

I have a 128GB 6 that has 27GB of space available...it's gotten as low at 18GB available. I take tons of pictures (I have a 1 year old and a photography hobby) and keep about 20GBs of music. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to anything less than 128.

I wish I could trade mines in but I know it's going to be a pain to do
